What happens when you are a vampire, but you are too lazy to hunt and just want to enjoy your immortality to take it easy ?
Well, like Barnabas, you just risk being at odds with the Lord of all vampires, Dracula himself. And now, you are even more cursed. You lose your health every ten seconds, and you're thrown into a cursed castle.

And now, you have to kill to restore your health and prove your worth. Or try to sneak and get potions to that.
And you have to deal with a friendly(?) goat that gives you some sort of... strange advices.

Well, you're cursed. Even more cursed, I mean. Good luck with that !

I like the vibe of this game, and I think the idea of a vampire needing to suck blood every 10 seconds for the theme is really clever.

I really love the concept of this and the theme is great! A vampire losing health every 10 seconds really makes sense. I wish the enemies restored your health when you defeated them (so it felt like you were killing to stay alive) vs just looking for the little potions. But overall a really great exploration of the theme!

@vivifx fun fact, killing enemies *actually* heal you, but I think there are never really enough enemies for it to be visible :sweat_smile:

This game was a bit difficult to play due to the janky collision. Sometimes I just couldn't run upwards? The countdown of health as you tried to find the exit of the floor was kind of interesting, but I think some landmarks might have helped navigation.

Nice idea for the theme! I wish there was more feedback - in particular a health bar - so I knew how I was doing and if I should go fight things or keep going. The time I beat it I did so by running through to the end. I think a smaller map with more distinct levels might have been better to navigate. Good work

It is greatly appreciated ! @simba & @amythyst I think there is some kind of problem with the embbed player on this site, because we put an health bar on the game, and it is available on the itch.io version... But here, not, for some reason we don't understand.

Interesting concept! Somehow the enemies kept vanishing, but may be that is based on how the attacks on enemies are registered?
The music had its appeal, but I am not sure if it played to the strengths of your game! Good job

@sticmac I see! Yup it's there on itch, so disregard that comment. It looks like maybe the game isn't scaling right in the LD embed and your health bar is scrolled off the screen. Are you working in Unity? Getting screen sizing stuff is really annoying. You can check your game in the preview window by setting the size to match the embed size and seeing how it looks.

Nice concept! Some visual feedback when defeating an enemy would be nice. Sometimes, for my part, it was unclear if did hit or got hitten. Nevertheless you were good in theme and it was easy to understand what to do in the game. :slight_smile:

A very interesting idea. I really liked the vampire theme. The graphics are interesting and functional, as well as the gameplay and sound. The story cinematics are very interesting, and it would be really cool to have this same video in the game too. Good job!
