You start by hacking into a steambot.

-Every 10 seconds, your steambot will lose some health as it attempts to fight the hack. Your health can be seen above your steambot.

-Once every 10 seconds you can shoot out a signal <spacebar/middle mouse button> that takes over another steambot. Try to hack into another steambot before the one you control dies.

-Enemy steambots will spawn and try to eliminate their infected brethren, take them out and survive as long as you can. Ditch dying steambots for new ones.

-Every steambot has an attacking <right click> and defensive <left click> power. Use them both to your advantage, experiment with the many combinations by hacking enemy steambots.

-Move: WASD, Aim: mouse

Powers:

Purple Missile: large damage single shot

Green Acid: close range cone

Red Flames: continuous damage beam Shield: invulnerable for a time Overclock: brief speed boost Dash: quick forward movement

Oil Slick: Slows down anyone passing over it

Tools: Unity

Nice game. I like that you can switch between different steambots and control them. When I'm about to die, I gotta switch quickly xd

I loved the idea, though aiming that signal to switch bots was a bit tough, especially when you were surrounded. Maybe that should be a bit wider, like a signal cone instead of a fire bolt. I like the style of the steam bots. Animation would make it even better, but I know time constraints and all. The background could also use some texture to differentiate floors and walls and make the background a little more interesting. But I love the little steam ports in the walls, that was an interesting detail. At first I thought I could interact with them, but still fun to find.
Also the music and audio was pretty good.

I like the variety of bots.. and I like the hack mechanic, but I wish it had more of a "feel" when it was happening. Good music/audio. Nice entry!

Good take on the theme, planning which bots to swap into adds a layer of strategy and there was a good variety of bots and attack types. Good work!

Cool concept! I really liked hacking other bots and seeing what they could do. I would have really like some ability indicators that showed me what abilities my current bot has and if they are on cooldown or not.

Cool idea!
I think theres a version thats much faster paced where the droid is destroyed in ten seconds and theres way more enemies around so youre constantly switching and adjusting to new weapons.
As it stands losing a bit of health every 10 seconds is more of an annoyance than anything else.

The robots themselves are very interesting looking and i love that you spawn as a random one each run that really adds a lot.

I think theres a really interesting foundation here and its and congrats on having a pretty complete game experience nice work!

I liked the idea of taking over a new steambot every 10 seconds. I was a a bit confused as to what the penalty was if you didn't switch bodies within that initial 10 second period, and also wasn't sure how to win/end the game, but overall this game was fun and I enjoyed playing. Cool concept, good job!
