In the 1970's, environmentalism was BIG, and citizens dutifully sorted their paper, plastic and organic waste.
Enriched plutonium got mixed in with the rest since this was not separated.
Nuclear-powered incinerators operate optimally on one type of waste at a time. They burn everything, but yield points only for the type of waste indicated by the colored border around the incinerator.
