RoboPup Goes To Puppyland
You are a discarded automaton with the unique ability to consume biomatter and converting it into fuel which keeps you operational. Other than that you are not sure who you are, or what your are doing here, but you know one thing. There is a place called Puppyland, and that is where you must go, to be with all the other little puppers like you.
Each consumed body of biomatter converts to 10 seconds worth of fuel, which means you'll have to consume a body at least every 10 seconds in order to avoid critical operational failure.
Use a variety of actions such as e.g. dashing and spawning of bone blocks to progress and traverse through the environment. If you are unsure how to proceed you can try activating the "sleep mode" to scout your surroundings.

How To Play

Note: This game is best experienced with a gamepad, but keyboard input is also supported.

I loved the game ! I couldn't figure out what sleep was for, but eating humans and rejecting them to continue to play was fun enough for me to give you a good rating !

Love the game! very fun and charming, the graphics are great, it's fun and humorous :D I can sense some Ed McMillen influences in the graphic style and general narration. Great game!

@mrmaico Nooo you encountered the damn camera bug 😅 The purpose of the sleep was that our original idea was to make one big level, in which the sleep would give you an opportunity to take a breather and plan ahead. But in the end with the small levels it doesn't have a lot of gameplay use. I guess in the end all puppies eat, poop, sleep and bark, so it stayed in 😁 Thank you for the feedback!

Nice entry, interesting time based puzzle platformer. Btw in web version on 3-4 level camera was out of game room. Oh, it's already been discovered... =)

The sounds are great - really go well with the game and add it a lot of energy!
I was having fun playing the game. It has great energy and the controls work well. I met a bit of a bug - in the level with a big pit in the middle, my game just crashed when I picked up the last guy. That happened twice.
The web version doesn't go full-screen (on Firefox), which is a shame, as the text on controls is very small in the default resolution. So I played the downloadable one. By the way, mark your downloadable version as a Windows version in your itch settings page (when it's not marked, the itch launcher does not recognize it and cannot install it).

Nice game with cool graphics. Sadly, somehow at level 4 my character disappeare. I still had fun tho! :)

this was awesome! i loved it! the art is so cute and its so funny that you have to kill some humans! the eject waste is really clever and a fun way to put down some blocks to solve some puzzles. I really liked this alot and i would totally keep playing! Im not sure if I finished the game, i think i did! I got to a "Goodnight" Screen, on the last level with the dog waving. Super charming and fun and a great way to do the theme! My one thing is that, using "e" to eject waste was fine but i think id like it on a key further away so i can use my other finger to press it! i ended up using my other hand still so it felt really cramp hehe. maybe like, keeping e but also having j as an option! Overall amazing job, i loved this sm!! It feels so complete already!

Cant decide if its cute or horrifying. But the gameplay was fun. I like the decision to not have a dedicated dash key and instead use double space (or space in the air). Many jam games struggle with the keybinding but this felt really intuitive.
My main critque is actually just that its a bit easy because the level design was not as good as it could be. The tutorial levels were fine but then the difficulty didnt really spike. But i think that might even be a positive xD

@roroto-sic @alexyam Exactly, RoboPup does not want to consume the other puppies in Puppyland, so he runs out of energy and shuts down forever. He can spend his last seconds alive happily barking with them, like a real puppy 🐶

The particle effects, squash and stretch animations, and sound effects really add a nice layer of polish to the game that makes the experience that much better.

Ahh really cool concept! I had some problems in the .exe, where the timer stopped at 6.47 or some such after laying my first human bone pile cube. Also the camera does a weird thing where it bounces, for some reason... I keep wanting to use the up/down/side pad to move and this is what moves the camera around but no movement for the doggo. I was hoping it would have controller support but I couldn't get it working. Would love to play the game with a controller, as I have trouble with keyboard movements! Looking forward to updates!

@artofluba Thank you for the feedback 🙌 Could you tell me which controller you are using? Does it have analog sticks and does movement work with them or is it just broken on the d-pad?

@theorioli heya yep, I paired up my PS5 controller which was working with a lot of other games! I also tried downloading the game in case it was the web player which was not recognizing it. We have lots of controllers in the house so I could try some other ones. I will attempt it again!
Why can I sleep? What is the purpose of that?
Level 3 or 4 (the one with the steep drop) seems to be broken. I only see the background. I can still move but I can't finish the level nor the game.
I will rate based on the first levels I have seen.
