aw, this is so cute! it's so adorable, there are so many dialogue lines (impressive), and the characters are so cute (my favorite is the dead fish. for real.) the art is also really charming haha, and i love the sound effects when you pick an option. well done!

I wonder how on Earth you can came up with this idea. 10 secons was hard to evaluate all the answers, sometimes I just randomly clicked on one. Sometimes I clicked on more. I'm not sure if it was legal or not, but I could do it :) A very unique entry, congratulations!

Cute game! I enjoyed the cast and especially the clean look and feel of the UI. I think the blackjack worm is a wonderful inclusion, and if you plan on expanding this framework, would love to see more of these interactive changes of pace.

In hindsight I wonder why speed dating never crossed our mind, so fitting.

I could not get the attention of the ghost :'( otherwise a great speed dating game!

This is my first time playing a Boat's game, and I have to say... I'm a huge fan now, and am going to go back and play previous submitted games too. This game was adorable, funny, and fun to play. The characters and dialog was so creative -- I definitely fell in love with some of them and was so glad I matched with them in the end. Glad I was given the opportunity to read all the options before the 10 second timer began, because otherwise it would have been hard to choose options during the conversations and I might have missed some of the funny writing that was put into the game. Really impressive for a compo or jam done by a single person. Well done and looking forward to whatever you make next!

This is one of my highest rated games so far. I struggled with the limited time, but the option to disable that was really acceptable. I never felt like i could finish reading before my time to choose was up. I could see a more detailed table setup and maybe choices as queue cards? The partners text could generate as they speak, giving time to read and varying voice/speed talkers. Everyone was unique and interesting (fish was my favorite).

Cute funny game! I did find with only 10 seconds it was a bit hard to read and make choices in time, and I'd randomly click things to see what happened. They might should be fewer and/or shorter. The random blackjack game was funny. Great job!

I love the mood and it's a very clever use of the theme! I'm not too keen on being on a timer while reading though, I feel like I'm being punished for being a slow reader :laughing:

Fun game and great writing ! The only thing I found a bit annoying is the timer, that needed to follow the theme I guess, but was way too fast to let me read properly. So when I discovered it was possible to pause it, I used it quite a lot, which maybe made the game too easy (I matched with almost everyone), but at least let me enjoy the dialogues properly.
Well done, it's quite different from what you usually do but it's still great !

Super funny, I really enjoyed playing it. I'm glad you added a pause option, because a lot of the dialogue was hilarious and I hated missing it in the 10 seconds I had.

As far as the game goes, I thought it was super clever. All of the characters were really funny and interesting and the art was great.

It's Boats!!! I always look forward to your games! This one was really funny. The writing was great and the ideas were super cool. Starting our game our first idea was speed dating haha So I'm glad you did it so we can have such a great time!

"I'll be your ghost today. I mean your host!" was already enough to make me smile and get you top marks in humor.

This is not the type of game I'd normally enjoy and somehow you kept me interested in it the whole time. It's really well put together, no bugs, plenty of immediate feedback to know if my choices were good or bad, and the 10 second pacing added a good urgency and encouraged me not to take it too seriously. Nice job!

Super super cute matchmaking game. First - the mechanics. Having ten second dates of ten seconds each - so clever. And the way it's like a memory game stretched over these 10 dates is very very cool. The poker was a nice thing to break it up. The text you had to do memory from was all really really cute. I loved the characterization of each character, the bizarreness of the fish. Super super cute. The art was very fun as well. Just a really fun little game!

Love the game! My team also went with the speed dating idea but for criminals :) Was really fun to see how your game handled a similar subject and you even added elements that I wanted to add but didn't have time for as well, like the achievements screen. The artwork and humor were fantastic, my favourite was the worm of course!

I usually don't like word-based or narrative-based games, but this was so good. Great mood and humor, great writing. And it has the extra replayability to try to get matches with everybody if you want, which is not that common in more text-based games :)

I didn't really get the gist of the game at first but it turned out to be really fun! I regretted not paying enough attention to the first round and learning about each of the characters. The characters are really cute and wonky and funny, I like that every character is so unique and blows my expectations.

This was fun. I really liked the variety of characters.

Had fun trying to find all the characters! Sometimes it was a challenge to read through the choices, but with multiple playthroughs eventually I got used to it. Cute designs too!! :D

I was especially pleased to see FRIEND in there. What a lovely cameo, it took me a few seconds and then it clicked... this was the beautiful creature from Honest Jam! :D A silly game, well written, and I love the character you give with your art style.

I love this game. So many great characters. Each character perfectly encapsulates the idea that you're talking to someone/something just a little bit.. off, or unexpected. I'm looking for constructive criticism and failing to come up with any. Great entry!

Speed dating is not the best idea in my opinion. After all, it is quite difficult to understand a person in a few minutes.
