In An Arm and a Leg, sell your organs and body parts to organ harvesters in order to make it through tough times.

This game features dark themes such as depression, mental and physical illnesses, and of course the surgical removal of your body parts. The art is not too graphic though, we are not trying to gross you out.

There is no real win condition, just try to survive as long as you can!*

The game is played by clicking on the cards at the bottom of the screen that are laid out in a timeline. Cards have "Play" values indicated by the first row of numbers on the bottom of the card.

They represent:

Time -> the main scoring metric

Cash -> the green stuff we all need to survive, if you run out don't worry you can always sell an arm or a leg.

Energy -> A nebulous resource, every action you take with energy below zero will add an energy disease to your deck

Mood -> Another nebulous resource, every action you take with mood below zero will add a mood disease

There are also "Burn" values on each card, a card is considered "burned" if you draw more then the 8 cards that fit in your hand. The card over the fire spot will be burned if you draw any more cards.

In addition cards can have additional effects indicated by their text that can happen on "play" or on "burn".

At the center of the screen there is a bit of a UI mess that is meant to help you understand what is going on. It contains the last 2 cards "burned", the last 2 cards "played", and the last card that was added by a card effect (not diseases, those are meant to catch you off guard just like real life :(

There are also certain cards that are "played when drawn" These cards will automatically be played as soon as you draw them causing their effects and score to apply.

The game will end once your hand is filled with "disease" cards, or once you sell all your body parts and can no longer be harvested.

That's our game, this is our first LD, so as cheesy it sounds we hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it.

*Selling all your body parts is the unofficial win condition since I have not managed to do it in testing, it might not be possible.
