The gardener lived in a time when the word of Jesus spread rapidly and he feared for his safety. In order to protect himself, he began experimenting with creating demonic plants.
After many failed attempts, he finally succeeded. He knew that he had found a way to protect himself from Christianity.
And thus, the Infernal Garden was created.
