Hi! Here is a teeny game I made over the course of this weekend, where you use your arrow keys and space bar to navigate.

It's really more of like....a vibey 30-second screensaver than an actual game, particularly compared to the amazing work you all are showing here, but I learned so much making it! I began learning GML / game dev in general in August and have been plugging away on a small RPG; ideally I'd love for this or something like it to be a minigame in that overall world, so it was very cool to get to work on something that wasn't my primary project but still helped me expand my thinking in that regard.

This was my first game jam, and I can't wait to push myself further the next time around. Any feedback to that end would be super helpful, if folks can spare it — ways to expand, newbie mistakes I might be making that I don't even notice, truly whatever!

Even though it's simple, I kind of love it for that. If you really wanted to add a level of complexity, maybe control how much fish food there is to distribute? Then the player really has to time the feeding right and be a bit more strategic about it. The art is adorable and the music is super cute, great job!
