Overall there's so much nice polish to the game, the moving tutorial, the heartbeat on low health, hit animations, sound design and art comes together well! Just wish there was more to play :)

Such a nice polished experience! I don't really have much to critique, however the enemies did respawn weirdly and I was kinda confused about that.

Just a thing or two: the "Play Again" button has no sprite on it and it seems like an oversight; also when you beat an enemy, the animation keeps flowing.

However overall I love it, it's extremely fun to play!

Well made little game with a good idea for the theme! Well done for making this directly with PixiJS! I really like the graphics and animations which give a very good feeling in the game. A small glitch allowing to walk in the sky enabled me to go to the end ;)

@thewrath This was done in Unity, Not PixiJS, I beleive the art was done in Aesprite, Me and Will did the programming and development, whilst Brandyn did the Audio :P

Great aesthetic. The gameplay was a little janky - I broke it by rolling at a diagonal. Looking forward to your next game!

Enjoyed the sprite work and the BGM. The dodge roll was also pretty fun. Too bad Dusty Dan only brought his fists to a knife & gun fight, but that's a game jam for you I suppose. Good job!

Playing this game was actually so fun. The fighting mechanics are simple, yet create challanging battles.
I found a bug with audio. Once I was low on health I kept hearing the heartbeat for the rest of the game

the first time playing it i accidentaly went to the sky dashing and all enemies from all "levels" came with me and we had a fight up there, it was kinda chaotic and creepy but the wtf feeling was funny. then i died and started again and went to the sky once more and dashed like theres no tomorrow and got the secret achievement which made me laugh cause i was like "i found a bug i should tell them" but when i read what it was about i felt so ashamed.. that was a very good detail. and then i actually finished the game as i should, killing those mf, although there were two of them that re-spawned and followed me until the end.

aaaalso movements are so smooth and animation is cute, loved those punches. sound effects are also great and the enviroment was on point, its a really cool game, i would definitely play more levels with more difficulty if added!

I added it a few hours before the end because I was tired af :P Always fun when people notice the small details, we're really proud of what we got done, we realised why people don't make Beat'em'ups in game jams, they are surprisingly complex to make

Nice art and good atmosphere! Was fun, even though the controls were sometimes a little wonky, especially the dash allowed me to go into the air or out of the screen.

Best graphics of the games I've played so far. The gameplay was simple but still had depth, which the different enemy types requiring different tactics.

Game is good, music and animation very nice! I think bullets can be faster. Perhaps the possibility of shooting would make the game even more fun. Very nice anyway!

Really wish this went on for longer since I did get into the groove of bashing bandits

However, I feel like the characters really needed shadows or something so that I could tell the distance between them. It's because the game kinda suffered from the problem that most beat-em-ups have, which is that it's hard to tell if you're on the same line as the enemy or close enough to it to punch the enemy.

Also, while the animations for the player were amazing, I feel like the enemy's animations didn't have feedback for when an enemy died. The feedback for normal hits was good, but there wasn't really anything for an enemy's death.

None the less, it was damn fun while it lasted and the presentation as a whole was cool. Really good entry overall

This was super fun right from the start. I love the brawler style while trying to escort the wagon. A very unique take on the theme. So great.

Even though I totally sucked at it (even tho I tried many times), I had a lot of fun. :smile:

The only feedback I would have (and these are super nitpicky):

- I struggled with the dodge roll a bit. I couldn't just hit a button and dodge and the direction influenced. It felt like I had to be hitting an arrow key AND shift to even do the move at all. It was such a useful move, I had to use it, but it usually got me killed more times than not.
- The hit detection on attacks felt pretty specific. If I was too close to an enemy, it completely whiffed the hit.

Again, these are crazy nitpicky. Especially for a jam. What you accomplished is killer! Love it!

Nice little game! Beat them all game is always cool. Your ennemy are cool.

Just 2 things :
- Rool make you leave the map, i manage to skip a level with it ( not intentionnaly)
- Knive guys have an hit animation but it still hit you, so you don't see it coming, hard to doge. And the hit animation look like he is lock by the dmg
