Deliver Me From Evil
NOTE: See HTML5 (Webgl) version under "Links" below to play game in browser
Your name is James and you are a *very* dedicated pizza delivery guy. Despite a rampant zombie apocalypse you have decided to continue delivering pizza's to the few starving that have not yet turned. Due to the lack of available food and lurking dangers, the pizza delivery trade has become a high-risk endevour, albeit increasingly profitable. You have to deliver the pizzas at any cost or forfeit your life!
Unfortunately, finding the correct delivery location is difficult, so you have to either rely on going door-to-door until you eventually find the correct place or you will have to find another way of getting the location right... Try to survive as long as you can. Good luck!
Supported platforms:
- Windows
- Linux
- WebGL (if you can't play or it is lagging a lot, try a different browser. Chrome seems to work best)
The Windows/Linux versions have better performance than WebGL, so those versions are recommended for the best experience possible.
Controls:
Move: WASD
Aim: Move mouse
Shoot: Left mouse button
Select weapon: Numbers (1-3)
Use item: R and F
Knock on door: E
Pause game and display volume options: P or Escape or Pause key
Misc
The game saves automatically. On the main menu there is a small button that you can use to reset all the progress if you wish to start over again.
Every stage is also randomly generated based on a number of parameters and each stage gets progressively more difficult.
Post-deadline fixes
Refer to Github releases to get full overview over bugs that were fixed after deadline (every version >= 1.0.5 were released after deadline).

Good job!
This game lacks just a couple of things. First is "feeling of progression": you can't detect easily difficulty increase between levels: stuff like "zombies are 10% stronger" or "there are 5% more graveyards" is hard to detect visually while playing, but if faster and tankier zombies would be of other colors, and they would be introduced gradually, then player would detect the changes. Just as an example.
Also, after a certain point (after level 5 or so) the coins become almost redundant, you get enough money for uzi ammo just from the delivery itself. Maybe scale the gain from coins with level increase?
Anyways, I am just nitpicking because I wanted to have more reasons to play this game more. Good job!
@attala Thanks, I hope it didn't scare you too much!
@manmantas Thanks for the tips, especially the one about adding fog!
@nozomu57 I'm glad that you bring up these points, because I thought about these points as well during implementation, but unfortunately didn't have any time to do something about it. These are definitely areas that would be high on the agenda if I were to develop further updates to the game!
Some feedback: The music felt repetitive at the beginning. I liked the character and zombie movement a lot.
Thanks for pointing out the normalization issue! Good catch :)
