The gameplay is too minimalistic for me, as a lot is determine before the race.
Perhaps you could borrow some mechanism from idle game. As time goes you earn points that you can use to :
- upgrade your vehicle
- trigger some event
- etc...
I like voice and commentary.

+ I liked the voice acting, but I feel the commentator could be a little faster and more excited
+ It felt like the biggest impact came from the driver choice based on the race track, and then just spamming the ability. It didn't feel very engaging.
