Welcome to Hot Dog Rescue, where one HOT DOG is waiting for a special delivery!

Safely deliver the icy payload to the mouth of the volcano and slide, nudge, and navigate your way to rescue that HOT DOG. Don't nudge too much or you'll crack the ice and the rescue robo will take a lava bath! GET TO THE DOG! ITS SERIOUSLY TOO HOT.

Helicopter Controls:
A, D = steer to avoid trees
Spacebar = drop the payload

Robo Ice Cube Controls:
W, A, S, D = Tap while sliding. But be careful not to shatter your protective Ice Cube! Tapping too frequently will cause it to shatter!

I had fun playing it. Nice work! The 2 modes of gameplay were clever too. I'd play more levels like this for sure.

really fun game, I got my guitar and everytime I lose I try to freestyle to the music while the helicopter goes lol, took many so many darn tries and the best I can achieve was like 10cm close to the dog, almost had it, almost!

I liked the sound effects, artstyle, dual gameplay, and the clear button inputs. my only issue would be difficulty. I kept finding myself melting before the end! I also found a bug where if you let go and drop immediately into the lava you clip through it all.

update just beat it!

The dog is certainly in hot water, and this game certainly was difficult haha! Nice bumping beat, and graphics reminded me almost of like mario party minigames of the old games. Took me quite a lot of tries to understand that you need to use the ramp to generate additional speed and plan out my route. Also, worked fine on my Chrome at least, Good stuff!

@krassenstein AWESOME! thanks for the VOD. I think the thing we probably didn't explain well (which is great to point out) is that too many taps in quick succession will shatter the cube. You have 5 taps until the cube breaks, and it regresses one tap about every half second. It takes a lot of finesse, between timing your drop to get enough momentum to reach the dog, and having enough control to avoid the stalagmites. Some people have found using W at different points of the run helps. I have found ways to reach the end without the use of W, so if its ever too easy, try that lmao. Super appreciate the video!

This is really well-made and thought out! The controls are simple and easy to understand. The game (for me, a dumbo) is a little hard hehe! The music is great and the sound effects really fit well too! I like how it's quite a bizzare scenario, an icecube robot being dropped by a helicopter! You hit the theme on the head, amazing!

Cute ending! Took me about 20 attempts because I couldn't find the right path to drop the ice cube without having to slalom between the rocks (therefore breaking the cube). So it was a fun little challenge and the dog was a nice incentive to keep trying :)

I'm no good at this game, but I liked it. Nice art, I would recommend trying to make the skybox (and the art in general) a higher resolution, but this is really great for 72 hours. Very nice

Hard game but I think the concept is neat, and as some commenters have pointed out already, definitely would have been helpful to know that the ice cracks mend after a short while! Nice job tho :)

Really nice game! The graphics are not that good, but i enjoy them, they remind me of Nintendo 64(Even though i never played Nintendo 64 bc i'm too young), Great work!

A very interesting entry! It's got a nice old school vibe to it. :grin: Initially I found the game very hard. Almost frustratingly so. But then I realized the ice cube "regenerates" a bit so I started playing a bit more strategically, and was able to beat the game in a few tries!

I think I found one bug, though. If I dropped the ice cube from the helicopter very late so that it lands on the lava, the ice cube would often fall right through the geometry and go out of bounds.

Overall, very good job!

Nice textures and 3D models! The helicopter blade swirling about was a really nice touch. Super tough game - reminds me of trying over and over to win at a claw machine. Nice work!
