In the far future humans have explored and populated the outer space. There is one problem humanity is facing so far away from earth... there is no pizza. You are one of the first to leave earth and to deliver the most delicous of all foods. Deliver the pizza to space stations in the outer space! But be careful space is a dangerous place and humans are not the only ones loving pizza...

I have created the game for this Jam all by myself. I have only used the sounds and music from third parties.
It is a short 2d roguelike pizza delivery game where you deliver pizza in space and make some cash that you can use to upgrade your spaceship. There are aliens and asteroids in your way and you have to evade them or destroy them. From time to time the evil "Pizzamunch" Alien will appear and try to steal your pizza! So do the best you can and deliver as many pizzas as you can!

One of the best games I've played so far. Really smart to have the alien progress bar at the top, kept me engaged because I really wanted to see what would happen. Good job!

Pretty fun! Loved the art style. Lots of effort went into making the menus look and feel good, which is always a challenge to do during a game jam. Shows you planned everything out pretty well!

First game in my live, where I can just make happy an entire Universe - by drop pizza in (not empty / not dead) space. =)

We honstly need more 2d space games in the world. This is great!
The shooting sound effect is great and feels really satisfying (and powerful) to fire! I feel like it was a little slow in the beginning but it was fun enough to make up for that! A really good take on the theme, honestly!

Very impressive for a solo game jam game. Even if the music was third party, it was well picked and set a great mood for the game. The movement felt very space-y and nice. I did wish the shooting was a bit more useful right at the start - it was hard enough for me to land anything at all and when I did, one shot wasn't enough to do anything to the enemies, so I would probably only invest in ship speed on a replay.

@chesschaser @weirdbitgames @endocrine-bamsc Thank you all so much for the reviews! I have considered changing some of the player stats from time to time but then i thought you can upgrade them later on anyway. But yes you are right shooting feels a bit useless at first :smile:

I love upgrades :D
The controls have just the right amount of drift to make it hard. I do think that maybe at the beginning it is impossible to shoot much and even after some upgrades I rather evade that try to destroy enemies. But the conxept works and I had a good time :)

This is pretty cool, reminds me a lot of some old Newgrounds games. All the audio and graphical feedback was well done, and I liked the allure of the alien coming to get my pizza after so many deliveries. Really well polished, was great.

What a cool game and great use of the theme. Really enjoyed the fact that you could purchase upgrades and hearts, it added an extra element that increased the playing time significantly. I also liked the art. Well done.

Very well polished game. The movement control has been precisely tuned to have the space vibe in it and fits the game amazingly!

I liked the main gameplay loop, but felt overall it was a bit slow until the very end. I felt the power of the blaster wasn't very well communicated, I couldn't tell if my shots were doing damage at the beginning, nor how much really. Even some hit effects would go far there.

@yamapink Hey thanks for your review! You have pizza all the time you just need to deliver it! The controls are shown in the controls options, you can also find a small how to play panel there. Have a look!

@nardandas Thanks for your review! To make the game not to difficult i decreased the spawntime for obstacles in the the beginning. It it slowly building up over time. Hit effects are there. For each interaction there is a hit effect. Some might not be well visible in the web version. I wanted to make it a bit more difficult by not destroying objects with each hit. But yes at first the blaster feels a bit useless.

Nice game! I actually replayed this. The controls feel a bit difficult to manoeuvre but I get the reason. Bullets fly a bit slow, as slow as the pizza, which is slightly frustrating imo.
