Spuggy's Pizza Delivery

At first I found the controls to be a bit difficult, but once I got used to them, I actually really enjoyed them!

I will say, the fact you can't reverse is a little annoying at times since you have to completely turn around, but other than that I really enjoyed this game! The art is good, the gameplay is engaging. Overall, great job! :)

Strangely addicting! The turn radius felt a bit too wide but everything else worked quite well, I love the slam noise haha

I'm actually not bad at the game. Also bouncy bike go brrrrr

I found it was pretty difficult to control the bike and was struggling to get more than one pizza delivered. Would also be nice to be able to reverse after crashing.

Overall, the game is a pretty good prototype!

P.s. I didn't realize I could upgrade until I saw the screenshot just now. Nice touch!

Very funny looking game with a funny rubberman driving a funny scooter,delivering pizza in a funny town.But I've met a bug that the upper part of game is blocked when playing in web page of ldjam.com.

@bad-b4dguy Thats odd, i havent seen that on the computers Ive tried it on, did the scooter fall over? I have unfortunately seen that happen a couple times

I found the controls nice and scootery. I had fun delivering those pizzas and getting some upgrades. Cool entry!

My scooter going down one of the hills wheeled and started bouncing on the back constantly until the time run out, but overall good game.

Overall a pretty fun game. I played for a bit until I somehow managed to run into a barrier and tip my scooter upside down :/ Once I figured out that you could pick up multiple pizzas at once by just stopping in the pizza pickup zone it was way more enjoyable (and I should have read that tip in your description!)

Fun game. The steering takes a little getting used to, and the ability to reverse would be nice. Also some of the cars were clipping into the ground on the hills. But overall I like it. The upgrade system is nice, and it's very satisfying to collect coins. And once I got better with the steering I enjoyed zooming around delivering pizzas.

@perfectsquare thanks for the comment, yeah Ive seen the bike turn upside down a few times now, it didnt do that in the editor! Something to do with the physics calculations in the webgl build I guess :( And yeah I didn't think that people wouldnt know that you could pick up multiple pizzas, I guess this is why actual games have games testers! I should of done more to indicate that! Anyway thanks for playing my game :)

Loved the bouncy controls! It became harder to control as I bought more upgrades for the engine, and the physics glitched out a couple of times when I landed on the rear of the scooter, which then couldn't be controlled anymore and instead started to weirdly bounce until the timer ended (It looked funny though!). It took a while until I understood how to pick up more than one pizza, but when I got it, it started to become way more satisfying. Well done!

Really nice compo game. Controls felt pretty nice and seems to be decently polished. I think I saw a car do a 360 though :D Good job!

Good job on the suspension, the motor scooter feels really bouncy and fun to ride. Would be cool to start each level with full pizza capacity because otherwise you always have to waste several seconds to get them. Really liked the graphics and models.

The driving is super fun, sometimes a bit difficult, but fun. I really love the atmosphere of the little town, it has that cool positive summer vibe. The game overall is VERY WELL polished an well executed. The little green guy is super cute and the audio visual response is well done too.

While it's hard getting used to it, it definitely makes some fun. Funny physics on the motorbike until I could get up anymore xD I got stuck in a street block. Some incentive like different levels could be fun. The same town over and over again and when you lose you keep your money feels a bit pointless. Other than that, I like the concept. Good job.

Very impressive for a compo game, easy to understand, and to handle too. The game is repetitive like all the delivery game, but the realisation is very good.

This is a classic Spuggy-type game, in a similar vein to that of a strand-type game. Would recommend to anyone!

Really nice game! I think in every game that has driving I also wish there was a way to drift around corners, but overall the handling of the scooter felt good. I like that there is a complete little city to drive around in, and the addition of the cars driving around made it feel more alive (there's definitely a bug with the cars going around corners though: it looks like it does a reverse 270 instead of just taking a normal 90 degree turn, which could just be the driver showing off hahaha). Well done!!

Awesome job doing all of this in a compo! The city looks great and it's fun to drive around. The only things I might suggest for the future are decreasing the turn radius to make it a bit easier to steer and also I noticed my money went back down to zero after every round--not sure if that's intentional but I was hoping to save up for some upgrades :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I love the subtle animation of the guy leaning on the bike when you turn. Great touch!

@joe-cowman thanks for the comment! You do actually keep the money between rounds, the money on the top left is the money youve earned in that round, it was supposed to be like a crazy taxi score system. I should of definetly added an animation of the money being "banked" to make that clearer. But anyway you can save up for those upgrades if you want to :)

Saw this game on the main page and had to try it out. Was not disappointed and especially liked the coin animation. Would have loved if the pizza got it's own animation being flung off the scooter into the building, but for compo that's really impressive what you've accomplished. Great job!
