Virus Load

This is really awesome! I love this theme so much and the execution is really neat, especially the sounds/music and art. The gameplay itself is pretty simple but that's not too bad, though I would appreciate more telegraphing or time to react to the immune system. Really neat game tho!

Nice! I like the twist on the snake-like mechanic of having to grow your chain, but then you need to spend it to win. Nice risk vs reward as you need a longer chain to attack the bigger cells. I found it near impossible to dodge the immune system, but I never saw consequences of getting hit?

This is a complete game and it presents a clear goal without needing a tutorial. THe assets are well made. The animations and the enemy antigen behaviour is a bit jerky, otherwise nice game!

Fun game! I wish there was a way to not get hit by the immune system, I could never get away with no hits.

Nice and simple and plays well. After consuming the first three types of "enemies" there wasn't much else to do :/ Gimmi more!

Very innovative gameplay. I also enjoyed how the cells scream in agony lol.

cool filing when you kill cells!

was a little annoying:
- Didn't figure out how to dodge the attacking sphere
- Sometimes my "pieces" were left in the enemies.

Really nice work! The styling and visuals are very on point, and it was really quick to get to grips with. I do think some more indication on how to avoid the immune system would help though.

It's really satisfying to collect more virus and take down larger enemies. As has been said, I think a feature that allows for some kind of dodging would be helpful since it's basically impossible to dodge the things flying at you once the snake gets really long.

I like the style, the game feels almost as a horror game!

That's a very finshed game, I like it. Sound, graphics, animations and gameplay are really nice! I just missed a dodge meachanic. The antibodies were a bit too fast for my taste.

I liked it a lot, getting more and more viruses was satisfying. The background sound was not so great, the looping was kinda obvious, but over that i liked the cells screams, it added to the satisfaction of collecting new viruses. Overall was pretty good game, congrats!

Really cool take on the theme! I love the tardigrades, animations of the viruses surrounding the cells are great, and the overall game is tranquil and very satisfying to play. Solid submission :)

Super cool idea! I was surprised by the amazing level of polish this game has! the art and sound is very well done. My main issue with the game was that the antibodies were very unpredictable in their spawning making it sometimes feel unfair when I lost a lot of viruses.

Cool entry. The audio fits very well with the gameplay and art. I feel like an intruder in a mysterious place. I never figured out how to get enough virus buddies to take on the bigger critters/cells. Depositing one/two at a time on the membrane felt very slow, so I was trying to amass a larger swarm (I assume it's number-based) so I could attack the bigger things, but the immune system seems nearly impossible to dodge once you have more than 7 viruses in your swarm. Giving the player a little more counter-play around the immune system would make a huge difference in the feel with this one. Great work on the game and the atmosphere with this one.

Really digging the presentation! Very nice "virus" vibes going on, like a combination of ominous and spooky. My favorite part was the animations for each of the different little cells, especially the death animations. The tardigrade was a funny touch too. Nicely done!

Would have expected more Iron Maiden and possible Metallica too in this game :D
It was interesting, I had a good time. One rough thing was that there was no indication of where the immune system would strike from. It felt like I did not really have any power over it as a player. Other than that I liked the animation when attacking stuff. Cool ambience and background. Something did not quite tile there though? Anyway, nice entry, well done!

Very atmospheric, the music and visuals worked very well together! My main gripe was the immune system "attacks" were so fast I found it came down primarily to luck whether I'd get hit or not. However, solid gameplay loop with a nice build-up!

I enjoyed playing this. The sound is really well done, slightly terrifying :sweat_smile:

I think sometimes it was a bit easy to instantly die, it sometimes happened while killing something else so you couldn't do much about it.

Spooky sfx, cool snowballing snake-like game set in microscopic detail. I like the idea and wanted to grow my swarm. The immune system cells come in like meteors though- I had no chance to dodge them at all and they just chipped away at my trail of virus buddies so I couldn't build up enough.

Wow! Very cool graphics and nice animations and sound FX. Very nice twist with the theme!
