Story

It started with a few strange sightings: people reporting seeing faces in the dark, spiders inside their shoes. But before long, it turned into something much more sinister. Soldiers began shooting civilians, hallucinating that they were monstrous creatures. People clawed at their own skin, convinced that ants were crawling inside. The world was plunged into chaos as an unknown pathogen spread through the air, driving humanity to the brink of extinction as it caused them to see the world around them in warped mirages that turned them insane, a massive hysteria caused by nightmarish hallucinations.

As nations pointed fingers and tried to shift blame, the pathogen continued to spread, infecting more and more people. Society crumbled in just a few short days, and the world as we knew it came to an end. Now, Earth is a barren wasteland, a haunting reminder of a civilization that once was.

Attempts to restore order have been made, but dangerous raiders roam the roads, preying on anyone they come across. The survivors who remain have developed a slight immunity to the original pathogen, but they are far from safe. The old infected still wander the land, no longer human but instead husks of what they once were. They attack anything in sight, including other infected, lost in their own thoughts and delusions.

Survivors must tread carefully, avoiding contact with the fluids of the infected, which can still spread the pathogen even to those with immunity. In this post-apocalyptic world, danger lurks around every corner, and the survival of the human race hangs in the balance.

You are Cason, one of the survivors from a group heading towards a settlement called Last Hope. This place is rumored to have successfully defended itself against all kinds of dangers and has even begun producing its own food.

As you and your group journey towards Last Hope, the only remaining sanctuary in a world ravaged by the pathogen, disaster strikes. Your group is ambushed and you're forced to flee with your best friend who is pregnant. The two of you are the only survivors, but your friend goes into labor and you're forced to deliver the baby in the midst of chaos. Despite your best efforts, your friend doesn't make it due to blood loss, leaving you alone with a newborn baby in your arms.

You've lost your own children years ago, but you can't bring yourself to abandon this baby, the daughter of someone you cared for. You know that the journey to Last Hope is dangerous and fraught with peril, but you also know that this baby might have a chance to survive if you can make it there. Is taking this baby a naive choice, or is this your way to seek for a beacon of hope in this barren world?

A 2.5D stealth game with the unique twist of having to manage a baby who's easily frightened. Will you make it to Last Hope together?
