Wow this is almost exactly one of the ideas we came upnwith for this jam. Wild. Yall did it better than we would have tho ;)

This is one of the most amazing games I have played. Every part of the experience is so polished and balanced. From the start the music introduces the player into an immersive experience and really allows them to understand the environment. Speaking of the environment the art is so perfect, the font works well and the details on the desk (like the engravings and blood) really bring it all together.
Beyond the environment the core game play loop is solid. The difficulty ramps at a great pace and really allows the player to familiarize themselves with the prompts and the decoding. Multiple times I was able to recognize prompts I had recently had which was really cool! There also is not "too much" going on at any given point. The symbols are manageable in the way that they are not overwhelming but not too little that they can be easily memorized.
I think I spent about 40 mins on this game but I was only able to get up to level 7 (i'm not the fastest typer) please let me know how many levels there are so I can make a goal to beat it!

@brandon-mcdonald there are infinite levels. It just keeps getting progressively more difficult and the goal is to just get the best high-score you can :) really glad you liked the game.

When I saw it was typing game I knew I was in for a treat! The graphics and presentation is perfect. Sound desing is amazing and well fitting. Simple but FUN gameplay is what LD entry needs, very well done!

I had just one problem, I couldn't guess this one letter :(

Loved the sound, the typing game and the graphics of this game ! Really good job. The sound is repetitive but not annoying, it is perfect !

Man, concept of this game is really simple, but sticky notes create new set of challenges, like you need to focus on words and keep in mind where symbols located
(And i can't write regular words quickly, especially with this mechanic :laughing:)

Died on level 6, works really well! The only improvement I would see is not to use keyboard symbols as fake symbols because I initially thought it was what I was supposed to type! Great exe!

level 6 is where it gets hard. Great art, Great music, Great sound effects, Great mood, very very nice.

Nice game! Sound works great and art is nice too! Only qualm is that some letters look very similar, e.g. U and V, and the replacement for T looks similar to a normal C

Nonetheless i like this one

This is like a perfectly formed sprint jam game. One mechanic, a handful of art and sound assets, all executed at a really high level so they're all you need. That scoundrel Carlsen.

But I showed a non-jammer friend and he made a good point: the invocations being in latin and repeatable raises the skill ceiling in an interesting way. I did a couple by memory from looking at them.

It's a challenging game, the latin really made me look fast and made it harder. Overall, nice game with the summoning theme being a typeracer game.

Love the game, visuals, and music. Fun prompts make the game super engaging too! The voice transition into music at the beginning of the song was super sick.

WOW THE SOUNDTRACK! JUST WOW

great little typing game, not pretentious and super well polished. The graphics are super cool and the music is really cool too. My only problem is that when I put it on a large screen, the game remains in a small window and as I have poor eyesight it spoils the experience a little but otherwise it's super nice.
