Very fun to play, but for me it would be better if the colliders on the tomb triggered so I wouldn't get stuck in it

Love the visuals. if you defeat another necromancer you should be able to get his summons as well imo.

The second level was quite challenging. At first I was not sure how to be successful, since I tried killing all enemy zombies. In the third level I noticed, that it oftenc comes down to be lucky because killing the enemy necromancer instantly kills his zombies.

That was interesting! I like the fact that you need to fight other summoners (yeah, get out of here!), also that's so cool that when the other summoner dies you could make a zombie out of his corpse. The one thing i'm not sure is the collider on the zombies and graves, i got stuck all the time but mb it's a part of experience! Overall i love the simple and cute art for this game :3 great work

Visuals are cool, I liked the little derpy zombies. There definitely needs to be a bit more player urgency and the BGM definitely needed a change, as it was too slow and soft for what was happening on screen.

You have a really cute art style and even managed to create 3 levels, good job with that! Overall a really nice game.

A great game! Would like to see more of it! Although a last level was a bit too much (had to run around and hide behind trees while been blocked by my own summons), but I still loved it!

Very cute art style! The game is also quite decent, I really liked how each difficulty level did no just up the difficulty but also introduced new mechanics/minions.

Running away from the enemy seemed to be slightly too powerful of a tactic. It separates the enemy necromancer from its minions and your minions can easily take the necromancer down. This seemed to work on all levels.

But overall, very solid entry.

Really great and beautiful game, I really like how you made the zombies. I don't now if it was intended, but at first I thought they were the bad guys trying to get my brain, so I avoided them. But then I realized that I was summoning them ! It was very funny! Thank you for this great game! ;)

I really like the art style and I really enjoyed the gameplay. The game didn't have sound for me but it didn't matter, I still had fun.

A nice little game with lovely graphics. The gameplay mechanics are interesting; it's not easy to drag the big, clumsy ones to send them into attack!

This is a really cool game!

The sprites and animations are exceptionally well made, and very charming. They're what drew me here, and they really sell the game for me.

The gameplay reminds me of Boneraiser Minions. I like that you can resurrect enemy necromancers, and it feels good to find a patch of new graves. Potions are a nice buff, and often feel like a worthy treasure to find. I like the tension of straying too far from your pack of minions to find more graves. Like someone said above, kiting is a very strong strategy, and leashing the enemy necromancer away from their zombies is a fairly simple way to cheese the game.

I couldn't help but feel like the game lacked a bit of player agency, though. The gameplay loop felt like "walk around->find graves->avoid death", without much choice in between.
What if you had an inventory for potions, and could save them for a crucial moment? Maybe a potion that turns you into a Golem? Another option would be to break the necromancer spawns into separate waves, and give the players some upgrade options for their troops when a wave is done.

Anyways, I hope the constructive criticism proves that this is a great game, and has very good bones to build upon. Again, the polish on it is very impressive. Fantastic submission!

A game with very lovely graphics and smooth gameplay. One suggestion would be to make the trees slightly transparent when the player is behind them. Other than that I really loved the game and I think you should keep improving it and adding more stuff to it.

Heya! The game ran great and played great. Love the zombie animation and art. Wasnt really sure what the power ups did but it was fun to run around with my own lil hoard of zomboys.

A really polished game, the graphics and the sound are great, the concept is new, but some variety would improve it even further.

It's one of the best ludum dare games I've seen so far.

The animations and graphics were definitely the high part for me as well. I did go through the first two difficulties before I realised the rival necromancers were also going for the same graves as I was, so the strategy was to find graves before they did. Some additional actions or inputs for your summoned creatures would probably help the gameplay. Also in one game I had the last two summoners chasing me just out of screen and didn't realise so was wondering why the map was so empty.

Last level was a bit difficult - I wasn't able to find a lot of ghouls and immediately ran into two enemies that just kept following me with their hoard

It was pretty intuitive to play – move around and collect the gravestones. Managed to beat the Overlord difficulty but almost died :grin:. I like how your enemies turn into gravestones for you to expand your army. Nice job on the animations and overall art

Had a lot of fun playing, and I find it hilarious how the zombies lunge themselves at the summoners.

The usage of the theme is great, one of the best for me on the jam. I like animations and art. I glad that there is an easy mode for casual players like me :) I couldn't beat the second level though.

It was really funny seeing my group of zombies beat down rival necromancers, I loved how they jumped them, like they're saying "get 'em", but at the same time I felt really bad when the same stuff happened to me. It was a really great time, great job on making it!

Very interesting! What a great design!

The whole game could use a bit of a speed boost in the sense that it's less hp per minion, but more minions/tombstones. There's a lot of time doing nothing but walking in an empty field. The music is a bit too slow and calm and doesn't keep the intensity up. I do like the visuals and idea though.

Beware the ninja zombies! Very cool entry. Cool art, smooth animations, easy to pick up and fun. Well done!

This game is a good example of taking a simple concept and executing it well!

Loved watching my army slowly grow bigger and bigger, taking over the entire map.
The art style and music were also very charming and worked together nicely.

Good game. I like the progression of difficulty. The game feels pretty much complete. Just add few gameplay mechanics (like reach some point or burry N graves or summon a demon by collecting X horcrux) and it is ready to be published to production :)

Cool casual game! I like the art style! There are a lot of zombies, they sometimes prevent me from passing! It's cool that we can even turn an enemy into a zombie after death!

The art is so lovely! This is such a cute game, with cute sound effects and animations, I like it a lot.
Just one minor suggestion, the walk animation feels a bit slower than the movement.

Great art - it was a little confusing the first time I ran into an enemy but that's because I didn't realize enemy zombies look slightly different. I think having a minimap with enemy locations or something would be cool, so you can try to build up your army before running into someone and have a little bit more choice in what you're doing.

It took me embarrassingly long to realize the zombies rising from the graves are actually *my* army and not enemies. :joy: I was *so* confused, trying to run away from them, but then the game started making sense.

Great simplistic gameplay with a great deal of polish. Really well done. I feel like the "Overlord" difficulty was actually easier than "Necromancer". The golems in the start really gave them hell. :grin:

Cute and fun! Same as everyone above the colorization of the zombies was confusing, I had to play the game 3 times before understanding what was what ^_^'

Hey cute and fun agame ! Didn't see at first the difference between my allies and the others, maybe a different colorimetry more obvious than green and green for the zombies, especially for people who are colorblind :) nice exectued good job !

A fine little game with interesting idea and gameplay loop. The level feels a bit too huge and the lack of foe indication makes it a bit boring.

Very cool, it'd be great to have some more defences or tactics ( and just general feedback like knowing enemy wizard health) Love the characters design. :v:

Excellent game! Simple concept to pick up and play, which is great for a game jam. Art and animations were pleasant, especially the zombies -- great work on those animations. The sound design in general was very gentle and pleasing to the ears. The music was nice but in my opinion was maybe a bit mellow for the gameplay, but was very good nonetheless. Very smooth character control which felt nice. Overall great entry guys!

Oooo a game very similar to mine! But with original graphics! And sound! And less bugs! (And like 5x the people and experience probably)

Was fun to play, although I agree with others that the moment to moment gameplay wasn't crazy engaging. Maybe steal some ideas from my game and allow you to revive corpses (maybe with less health and damage output since you're "recycling" them?). I like just having to touch the gravestones...maybe I'll see what my game feels like slimming it down with that feature.

Graphics are very well done! Gameplay is a little bit slow, with the map being very large and only few enemies in it.

First of all, very good idea to implement different levels of difficulty for nobs like me. Artstyle, music and overall environnement are very cool. OFC I didn't read your explanation before playing the game so it took me some time to understand I have to go to the graves to summon my army. But then, I really appreciete playing the game (also thanks to all the micro animations). Great work!

Nice art and well polished. I like building up the little zombie army. It would be great if the encounters played more like summoned army vs. summoned army. For me, it was more about frantic running around trying to catch the red person. 😄

I like the polished and cohesive art on this one but I feel the gameplay is missing something as I don't have much choice to do anything beside wander around. I'd love to send my summons to a place or select an enemy to target to feel more in control or be able to activate picked up items when I need to instead of them being automatic. Overall it could be a nice mobile game with a bit more player agency.

That said, good job on your first LD entry and welcome!

Cool game! It'd be cool if there were more monsters and a way to move them around but I liked that enemy necromancers could be turned into your own guys once you killed them, that was a nice touch!

Interesting game concept, I like the little army of zombies following me, sometimes they did get in the way though. Would be nice to have more options on what to do or movement, as it was frustrating sometimes when I got stuck on an object or enemy. Overall fun game to play, great work!

Nice little game, with very simple and fleshed out mechanics and a great level of polish. I also love this art style, I think it gives a really nice touch. I would have like to have had either a minimap or some visual indicator pointing at the enemies, as it can be a little bit dispersive. Also, you could add an extra layer of strategy by adding some cost to the summoning, either in terms of time, resource or complexity (e.g., doing some combo on the keyboard).

Loved the art style and animations. It was very satisfying to watch my army fight against other armies. Also I was very excited when I got to summon my own golem lol. I do wish my minions would follow me a bit closer though, some of them would get stuck on trees. I would totally play a full version of this. Great work and great submission!

Art looks really good, felt great to gather up an army and watch them knock my enemies to the ground so quickly. Couldn't figure out how to summon golems so I wasn't able to get through the higher difficulty levels but still enjoyed it. Nicely done!

A super polished fun entry. I completed all the levels, feeling it has a great potential of being expanded to a larger game. The graphic is awesome. The music is also enjoyable though I would like it more if it sounds more rhythmic and aggresive. For user experience, I personally think a mini-map to indicate the foes' position might be helpful. Overall, this is one of my favorite games in this jam. Good job!

I really like the graphics and I think the game is very well scoped for a game jam. I managed to learn it quite quickly by just playing and I enjoyed that each level brought a new mechanic into the game to complicate matters. It reminded me a bit of agar.io, which is also a a game I can accidently play for hours. Well done!

I like the sounds of enemy wizards getting slapped by zombies. Looks good. You do tend to get pushed around by your own hoard when an enemy shows up. Don't think I actually found any golems.

Fun game! Those zombie pounce animations are adorable. I love the little smacking noises too. The audio in particular is subtly nice. It's there, and it's varied, but it's just the right level of not distracting. Would be fun to see more varied environments and monsters.

This was a great entry that was quite fun, The difficulty ramped up quick :sweat_smile: I liked the simplicity of the controls/mechanics, it really made it feel like you were able to complete your goals with this game, without making it too complex! Keep on making games :smile:

undead.io! Had to run for my life before I could take on the other 'mancers. The art definitely has a clean charm to it, which I like! Solid music and satisfying slap noises for the combat help set the mood. The multiple difficulties adding new powerups and the golems was neat.

Only critique I have is that on the last level, I had to wander around for quite some time before more graves began appearing. Once they did, I managed to clean up the last two rival summoners. One idea to maybe expand what you have is to have the different summons actually fight each other as well.

All in all, pretty fun game!
