Summon to Kill the Skeletons
First participation in Ludum Dare ever, for me and my friend @djow!
Theme: Summoning
We opted to do it together but still keeping the 48H deadline of Compo still for challeging ourselves.
Summon to Kill the Skeletons is a tower defense-like game where you need to hit your summon words in the keyboard for summoning the golems that will kill the skeletons that are coming! Be fast and kill them before they reach you!
The game has a system of progressive difficulty, increasing the speed of the enemies. Try to stay alive as long as possible and let us know your best time in the comments!
We have used some assets online cause animation and sprites are hard for programmers like us but some like the background and the summoner Girl "Morgana" we actually made by hand. We also used some AI for doing the Music and grab some ideas.

Great art style. The music is awesome. I only wish that it would play continuously when going to the main screen, but otherwise it's great.

Great job! The music is awesome and the gamepace was fast and fun. Would be cool if the typing options maybe changed as the game went on, or you had different enemy types that required multiple hits. Super fun!

This is a fun little typing game. I tried to play twice to see if I got new words on future plays, but just the fixed three words in a neat skill to need to develop too.

Pretty fun take on the typing genre! My best score/time was 6800 and about 2.5 minutes. Really simple game with a fun gameplay loop. I personally would've liked to see more normal words, and having them switch every couple of spellcasts, as the weird words were a bit tough to remember and I kept confusing myself when quickly typing a spell. Really fun overall, great job!

it amazing and I hate it:D its so challenging and I'm not a native English speaker so it really is hard to type these word. so maybe just make the skeletons slower in the beginning? Overall great job and amazing art

I like the idea a lot. And the execution was clean. But the use of the exact same words was a bit of a downer. That said, it was fun and challenging. I liked the overall art aesthetic and the sound effects. A great entry for the jam!

Nice mood and pacing, this makes me reconsider my ability to type quickly on the keyboard lol
Typing the same words each time helped me to memorise them and be quickly when skeletons being faster.
I often risk having to look too much at the letters to type rather than the skeletons, which I risk not seeing until I lose HP.
Overall I enjoyed it and it's fun to play! :D
