Summary
Ephialtes is a first-person escape room game, in which you have to escape from your nightmare, or ephialtes. During playing the game, you will act as a characterless person, who is captured by three nightmares. In order to escape from the nightmare in the cognitive world, you have to SUMMON something from the memory pool related to the dream before you are entirely lost.
Turtorial
Player can move and jump with basic instruction WASD and Space. To summon objects that can help you out, you have to click the correct buttons; otherwise if the incorrect object is selected, you're going to be hurted. In one scene, you will have up to 18 chances to summon what you think is helpful and after that, you fail and forever lost in the nightmare.
Allegory behind the game
This game is imitating the process of exploring one's inner world. The three scenes, school bullying, domestic violence and depression, are three of the most frequently discussed injuries people may experience. How to ESCAPE from these scenarios and SAVE YOURSELF is the final question within Ephialtes.
