It's nice to see a unique use of the theme. I couldn't beat the final boss, but I liked the concept. The music is probably my favorite part, I always appreciate music in game jams.

It's like a double interpretation of the theme, I love it! Graphics look really good, and the gameplay feels polished. I wouldn't mind more of a prompt at the start of the first fight to introduce the different attacks, maybe?

Super fun simplified 2D fighting game! Plot was very silly and very fun and found the enemies to be challenging and interesting. Excellent work!

This was really fun! I love your take on the theme, music is dope (that bass!) and fights were enjoyable! The only tiny annoyance was not being able to jump diagonally, but I guess that was a feature, not a bug (making it more difficult, right?) :)

@outstar Glad you enjoyed the game! you should be able to jump diagonally by jumping while strafing.

It is not possible to change momentum in the air, just like some other fighting games (street fighter for example)

We are currently working on the embedding ;D hopefully we can fix it!

Amazing submission!

Loved this game's interpretation of the theme!
Gameplay was very solid with well thought out characters and attacks.
Controls were also very intuitive.

The art and sound design was excellent.
Overall a very polished game, great work!

Saw it on a stream and had to play it myself. Was super fun. I liked that the different fighters needed different strategies to beat, and that it had some good fighting game fundamentals in it as well.

This game had me in stitches! Its absurdity had me laughing non-stop. Kudos to the developers for crafting such hilarious graphics and music within the tight constraints of Ludum Dare. However, I found the controls and combos a bit complex and took some time to master. Simplifying them would make the game more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Overall, a fantastic effort for a short development time!

I will never turn down an opportunity to contribute to the great traditions of LDJam Legal System games and this one does not disappoint.

The investigations are demanding but perhaps the outcomes are better than simply throwing anyone who frowns on death row.

Very funny game, and it's cool to see someone else who went the 'legal' definition for the theme. I really enjoyed playing this, some great animations, good use of humour, simple but effective combat controls and enjoyable music.
The only thing I didn't care for was the attack sound effects, they got a bit too repetitive given how often you heard them, some more variety in the sounds being made by the characters when they attacked would definitely help.
This is very impressive for being made in a weekend and you should be very proud of your efforts.

Really great game, not many LD games manage to get that much of a story in so good job there :D The graphics were really solid and the music/sounds were on point. Really fun to play and one I might have to come back to later because beating on Devin was so much fun!

Evil defeated!

I would like to nitpick something, but I have nothing here. Everything is awesome. It looks, sounds and plays great! The humor must be the best I have seen so far and I like that Satan was the least evil of those three. I found all oponents pretty easy to beat, but it makes me feel like I'm delivering a real tough justice, which feels great. Awesome entry, one of my favorites for sure!

Evil defeated! Very funny, my highlight would be for the narrative, genuinely funny, fantastic work. Combat felt really easy in the first two combats and a bit random in the third one, was oblitarated on the first run but won easily the second one. Very nice work!

Really fun, even for a someone who isn't usually a fan of fighting games. Also the funniest game I've played today. The difficulty scales well, although I wasn't able to beat Devon. Pixelart and animations are great! I had trouble hitting the combo for 'gavel throw' but that's probably a skill issue. Great job here!

Got a few chuckles out of me. Surprisingly tough but just enough that I managed to win on my first try. Impressive amount of content for the time. The movement is a bit stiff at times but not enough to be annoying, and wailing on the ceo and devin when i had the chance felt good

Interesting take on the theme! The mini cutscenes definitely add a lot to the characters and help pace out the fights. I do feel that dealing/receiving damage is lacking some visual impact though, as I found it hard to tell sometimes.

Really cool game! The pixel art and animation are great! And the genre is quite unexpected, nice change of pace! I really don't have to much feedback, maybe there could have been a little more ease in to Devin. But at the same time you really tried to teach the player to block with the CEO so I guess the my final words are F Devin.

While the art itself isn't anything too special, all of the transitions, camera pans, match-up cards, etc. really add a lot of visual polish to the game. As a non-fighting game player, movement feels a little slow and the attacks lack a sense of impact, but otherwise it is pretty fun. The concept is great and I like the humor. Only issue I ran into is that you can't press escape to view the controls when Itch.io interprets that as get out of full screen even if you aren't in full screen. Nice work!
