Chat with other players at The Seeds Restaurant! PLEASE DON'T PLAY THIS IF YOU'RE UNDER 13 because this game is NOT actively moderated! You don't know how much I've been looking for an excuse to make an online multiplayer game for Ludum Dare! When I saw the "Tiny Creatures" theme I imagined a bunch of, well, tiny creatures together. I decided that those tiny creatures would be birds and that it would be online multiplayer!
This is not a competitive game. Just chat with the tiny birds! If the server is not down, of course.
How To Play:
To move click anywhere on the game's screen.
To chat click on the chat textbox, press Enter to send.
The game will probably be empty most of the time, but you could tell some friends to play it with you!
Also, the server might be down sometimes.
I probably should also clarify that to make this I used an online multiplayer base I made much before this game jam. That's why I didn't submit this for Compo. For the jam I basically just removed unfinished logic, swapped textures, modified and added a tiny bit of code, and had to figure out how to host it! (Actually, the hosting part took the most amount of time.) Also, I had never tested this on multiple computers so I didn't know whether it would even work!
I tried this yesterday while the server was online. I love that you made a literal working chat room for this jam. Multiplayer is no easy task so I applaud you for making this in such a short timespan! I think some small minigame for everyone to participate in would be fun, like a word on the wall that gets slowly revealed like "bd" and people could guess it like "BIRD" and then it would just show "Jejkobb guessed the word first!". Anyways just a potential idea if you decide to keep working on it a bit. Great job!

This was a really nice experience right after a Ludum Dare x) I had fun talking to other devs :) Should keep a server up and, like, create a "After Ludum-Dare Cafe" where exhausted dev come to say "hi" :3 Nice job, a bit far from the theme though
Nice design, controls are smooth. Sadly I was alone, I shouted a bit, Don't know what to do when no one is around.
Multiplayer on game jam are tricky if no one shows up when you are there to rate them. Maybe have some sort of replay of previous players, repeating what they said before (that would probably lead to hilarious conversation) Trying to guess if you are alone in the room, if other are real birds (or drone by the gov :D )
I love games like this! It's really simple but it does all it seeks to do, so I think it's good!! I invited some friends to play but unfortunately I think we crashed the server ;w; after 3 people joined we were disconnected and can't log back in.
Unfortunately I didn't finish my game in time so I can't rate, sorry, just wanted to appreciate the work!
