Description

"Blackie" - is an atmospheric interactive novel in which the player accompanies a teenage girl whose world is distorted under the influence of a mysterious black cat.
The player must explore the environment, communicate with characters and solve puzzles to uncover the secret of Blackie and understand the true nature of what is happening.

Unfortunately, the riddle with the books doesn’t load for some reason. The only thing I could interact with was a cat. The square and circle were present on the scene, likely for testing features, but they weren’t interactive. It seems there are quite a few bugs in the game. Still, I love the art and the cat. meow!

(@sashunyar, Yeah.... unfortunately, we did not have enough time to publish a complete and well-developed version, but we are currently fixing all the errors and will be releasing an update soon! :3

I'm unable to play it: when clicking play nothing happens and no errors appear in the console. I'm running manjaro with Firefox 127.0.

@zyppi, @mibi88, try to expand the game to fullscreen. This is a small bug that we are actively working on :(

A few bugs, but as you said one has to play the game in fullscreen mode for it to work. It could be mentioned on the itch page or in the description until its fixed, as I didnt get it to work until i saw your comment :) Another weird thing that happened was that when i went to options, and then back. The button hitboxes got messed up. So when i would press start, it would press exit instead. But otherwise a cozy entry! Well done :)

The designers did a very great job, what i cannot say about the developers, the game has a good atmosphere good relaxing sounds, but the thing that my game broke 2 times in the first 30 seconds of playing is crazy. First i couldn't leave the house, and on the map there was no interactable items, after this i tried to click in the phone and it got broke as well, some panels opened and i couldn't close them and also the phone was not closing as well.
but in general gj.
The screenshot shows where it broke in the phone, the home button of the phone wasn't interacting, but the other, like the "Your thoughts today", and the button from the right had the animation working but nothing happens when i click them.

Sadly the game seems to have quite a few scaling issues. I tried playing on a 2k monitor and a lot of items seemed out of place / the UI didn't cover the entire screen / gameplay was too zoomed out.

That aside, I quite enjoyed it. The music and SFX, while not much, was engaging enough to not let me get distracted, and the plot and art directions were interesting. As a "subject" of a my cat (black with amber eyes), I was really looking forward to this one!

Overall, a very funky cool experience!

i will absolutely be waiting for a bug-free version and that's a threat, the art, atmosphere and overall vibes are insanely cool and idk how you managed to do that in just three days, one of the best games i've seen this jam!!

Game looks so cool, animations are on top, really smooth and good graphic, designers made a really masterpiece, but bugs are annoying, anyway great work!

What are the controls? The books are wrongly arranged, but I can only see this one dialog... Sometimes the E appears, but nothing happens when I press it.

Art is good no doubt, writing's not bad, but everything else...

_"We are actively working on fixing these issues"_ so it's been more than few days to fix something that takes a few hours.

So anyways what's the difference between a "Coder" and a "Unity developer"?
