Forest Tower Defense

A nice tower defense game. I won.

I think maybe we get not enough food in the first waves and way too much in the last ones.

It is fun and well executed.

A grid system to snap the towers might make precise placement easier. And I wish there was a fast forward feature. I like the fact that you put an end instead of having an infinite amount of waves.

Quite a good implementation for TD I am a fan of strategies especially this genre for me it is a sure 5

@loig Glad you liked it, food scales pretty hard in the later waves to give more room for the player to place towers and have fun, since due to time constraint I couldn't make more maps.

@arscene Thank you! A fast-forward button would be a great addition, I agree! I could have added an optional grid to help to place the towers neater. Happy you liked it :smile:

Cute little tower defense game!
Enjoyed playing it and don't have anything major to complain about :)
Bit of music would have helped the mood and hotkeys for the 2 towers are always nice to have in a TD game.
Well done overall!

I would say very well implemented. Add few more enemies and more animals to defend the road with and I can imagine this being on the website with online games. More sounds would make wonders for this game. Other than that, well done!

Cant complete 5th wave. but its very interesting.

Finally beat it on my third try, trick was to keep hiring new squirrels during the battle :-) Always enjoy a good tower defense game, happy to find this one!

Delightful little tower defense game, now 'just' add more units, levels, enemies and so on. For the squirrels!

Was definitely hard until I figured out you get resources and can place additional creatures during waves which helped out a lot :sweat_smile:. Nice tower defense game, I like the way it shows the next waves path with the particles (even though it's just two right now).

That was super fun!, can definitively be a good tower defense with an additionnal twist!

Managed to beat it with 50 HP! The health display remaining until after the game ended is apparently a bug but still.

Anyway, this was super polished! Everything felt very smooth and responsive, and I appreciate all the little quality-of-life features such as displaying when you don't have enough food to place a creature during placement or holding shift to place more (which I didn't get the point of until the last wave, but it was very fun spamming squirrels there :)). Even though there were only two towers, they was still a good amount of strategy involved, since you wanted to place the hedgehogs in very specific places to maximize the effect of their piercing attacks. I also really enjoyed the heavily dithered graphics, gave the game a very unique look! I agree that there could be slightly more food in the early game, but otherwise, this was very fun! Great entry!

At the moment, it's a pretty standard tower defense game, but it’s well-implemented. You could definitely build something more interesting upon it, maybe add some kind of twist? The graphics are cute.

I really like tower defense games, and this one was also really enjoyable!
I like the usage of the "tiny creatures" as the enemy.
Since you did make it all on your own in 48 hours, its really good.
Would have liked to have some more "towers" but alas, it´s a timed game jam!
