You're a small fox that can't survive the winter without stashed food.
Move around using WASD
Pick up food using SPACE
Every move is one turn, when the turns reach zero winter comes
After winter food outside the stash grows and becomes a plant, plats spawn food after winter
Stay away from bears
When on a tile with a plant the bears can't see you
Food in the farm area (upper square) is added automatically to the stash
I haven't paticipated in a LD jam for a while. This time I had help from Skatah J for most of the art and ideas.
The date of the jam coincided with a work event so most of the game was made on my surface pro 4, which somehow didn't explode, in a hotel room while I was possibly drunk. In the usual fashion time wasn't enough and the readability of the level suffered. Not sure how the HTML version is performance wise, if you have issues you can try the desktop version. While testing the level a fun strategy emerged where you can place food to make a path of bushes for the next summer, it would have been cool to dig into that, but I barely had time to get the game working, will probably try to make a game with that focus :).
