The blob has to collect keys to escape a cloning facility.

- Arrow keys: Move
- E: Next dialog
- Space: Jump
- Shift: Dash
- Backspace: Pause

Everything started when we expressed the idea of starting to learn how to make video games about 2 or 3 months ago.

In the meantime, we all decided to learn on our own, so that one day we could work together.

Keyblob: Rush is our first REAL project, this Jam enabled us to learn a lot and reinforced our idea of creating video games.

The game has a few bugs and we weren't able to include all the ideas we had, but we're proud of the result we achieved in such a short time.

@oldzombie14 The link doesn't work for now unfortunately, we're figuring out a way to upload the game on browser!

Looking forward to trying it once the web version is up! The concept sounds really cool, and I’m excited to see what you’ve created. Good luck with the upload

Cannot go past the first dialogue sequence. A very good mood and atmosphere tho!

The combination of 2d and 3d graphics looks quite interesting, gameplay is fun, but it would be better to make movements on WASD, it was very uncomfortable to play with arrow keys)

@vincenttt Hey, Thank you for your comment, we really appreciate it, also thanks you for the advice we will definitely change that in the future!!

I like a lot the 2D/3D mix, I wished the gameplay used the 3D a bit more, currently it felt a bit like the platform part was always against the wall, the rest of the rooms were a bit empty. I guess it's because it's hard to evaluate distances in 3D, and it made the platforming too hard ?
In terms of physics, I found some jumps pretty hard to do, mostly because the character needs some distance to build momentum before jumping, or it has not enough speed to reach its target. As some platforms are really small (the boxes mostly), it makes the timing really tight to jump properly.
Anyway, the game is fun, there is a lot of visual variety in the rooms and I never got lost. That's a pretty good entry, well done !

Well done game. I loved the lighting. Another group who published the developer mode XD!
I think just 2D movement would be a bit better.
And I couldn't start the dialog after collecting all three keys.
I had fun while playing and exploring the facility :)

I really liked the combination of 3D and 2D. It turned out stylish, in my opinion. Pleasant picture for the eyes.

@jrevel Thank you very much for your detailed feedback, we really appreciate it! We will take notes and modify the controls to make the game easier to play,
we'll also improve the platform section as you recommended,

once again, thank you for taking the time to play and for leaving your opinion on the game!

@baumil I'm glad you liked the graphics. We did notice a bug once the 3 keys were collected and we plan to fix it in the future!

Thanks for playing!

Congrats for your first game! Really cute, I like the mix of models and 2d sprites, had a fun time playing it :)

One point I want to draw attention is the file size of the game and its resource consumption (RAM, GPU), it is really heavy for its scope. Clearly it's your first and it's normal, but I encourage you to learn about optimization for your next projects. That's said, well done and thank you!
