Paper War

Really liked the look and vibe of the game, didn't really understand how to play, perhaps add the controls to the itch pages :)

I won, and I don't know how. but to be your first LD it's fine! keep working on that, is a good idea :)

Nice game, liked the way i can move myself inside this genre which is new to me, id say cooldown of attacks of units are a little bit too big, good game overall (i won :smile_cat: )

Cool art style. It's a pity you can't join the fights yourself.

Cool visual but feels unfinished

As others have pointed out, it's pretty simple, but the artwork is well done, and it's a creative idea. Some more gameplay choices would have been nice - since you only had the option of upgrading the eraser, I don't see how you could really "lose" unless you just choose not to upgrade it. I did run around the level a bit to see if there were more objects to interact with, but couldn't find any.

Great job at finishing your first game jam! And especially being so new to game development, this is really a great accomplishment.

I enjoyed the animations a lot. The simpler art style seemed to give you a lot of time to polish all the attack patterns which is a lot of fun. Some sound would have went a long way to making the game a bit more engaging, but I had fun with it nonetheless

Unique concept. I think it bugged for me. I could beat the game by upgrading once and at some point i saw a negative number

Didn't 100% understand how to play, so some more instructions would've been great - after upgrading, my soldiers seemed to win the game by themselves. Looks great, nice animations. Reminded me a lil bit of Age of War.

I think the game was on the right track, but there are missing parts (more upgrades, a sense of difficulty, etc.) that prevent it from being great. Keep going!

I'm happy I beat it! It was difficult to understand what my actual impact was, and I didn’t quite get what the counter in the top left corner was for. But overall, it was fun

I took some time to understand but after winning my first game I understood it's a moba-like. It's a great idea having a moba-like in 2d. The graphics are cute (kudo to the main character on its stapler). Congratulations for your entry !
Note: the retry don't work very well, you keep your ink and you can't buy stuff anymore.

I like this type of games. It's sad that you didn't finish the game in time.
