Run Ant Run
You are an ant trying to explore the neighbourhood, explore as much as you can without dying in the process.
CONTROLS:
- A, D: Move left right.
The game was created using my own game engine that I have been making in preparations for the jam.
NOTE: Make sure you extract the zip folder first before playing.

Added a small patch that fixed issue with missing dll file. Download the RunAntRun_1_1.zip and it should work now.

I downloaded it from itch.io. The game does not start, shaderc_shared.dll is missing.

@googoobachoo Ohh you are right, by accident there is a dependency on the vulkan SDK. Sorry for that, but thanks trying to play nonetheless.

Well done. Kind of wish the level was a little longer and the speed up happened sooner. The most annoying thing was the when you did it just closes the game. Good entry though!

the game scene is actually very nice!! Makes me wonder though, I feel like other parts of the game could have been more polished. I feel like animating the ant would have been a nice touch, and his side to side movement is jagged. Big ups on using a custom game engine though!!

Got up to 5530. A classic formula, but its a classic that is very fun.

Very nice effort making the engine from scratch, that's a great achievement! You really get a sense of speed as you get faster and faster, and the environments look pretty.
I do agree with the above posters though - you're not allowed to use precreated/external assets for a compo game - I think you can change the entry to a 'Jam' entry if you edit it though (and you can use precreated/external assets for a Jam game if you opt out of the category).
