The graphics are bright and the atmosphere is exciting! The game is perfect for Ludom Dare.

Never seen a slug this fast! It's great fun! I like the combat system and the animations.

Nice game! I liked the layout the map and the idea that you need to fetch new weapons on the map as you fight. At some point I had an issue with slugs getting stuck on the map.

Oh and I loved to hate the ballistic slug missiles :D

Very cute of a game with marvelous aesthetics and jolly game-play!

This game made me think of Stewart Little, and that's a compliment! The visuals were very nice, impressive for just a single game jam! I noped out when a certain commonly hated enemy type showed up, but it was a well made game, overall.

The shield was my favorite, sadly I never used it lol. Character is incredibly adorable and well modelled

SO many 3D models for 3 days. I'm seeing a lot of insect/spider/mouse games this time around haha, but regardless the game is solid. Great entry!

Graphics look amazing

I really liked this game! Sadly I gave up on my 4th try when I could not handle fast slugs with spiders. A few thoughts from my side:
- Combat is great, but feels a little off. It seemed to me that I want more range for an attack or to see when enemy is attacking, to be able to dodge those.
- Roll is really needed in this one!

LOVE THE MOUSE! - Whisker Warrior is a great name - great job, for a jam game I am very impressed, getting the gradurally increased strength felt really good! the sound on the needle weapon, felt satisfying, The blue slugs was a great inclusion, the focus on timing the shield really got apparent there - My main complaint would be the enemey design, while understandable during a Game Jam of course! AI is hard - but I noticed using very similar kiting strategies against each enemy, maybe the slower slugs could attempt to intercept you rather than just chase you, so that one might slowly appear while you are running away from the faster ones, or maybe a projectile shooting enemey could fit well, mortar styled projectiles, to prevent you from be able to kite in a straight line ocassionally swiping.

Other than that! cute game, great atmosphere and solid melee combat mechanics!

Fun game to play a few times. Not the most challenging (besides those missiles), but not everything needs to be. Aesthetically pleasing, and all around a great entry!

Man, this ain't the Redwall I remember. For real, looks amazing, definitely on them. Great work!

Really great graphics!

I did encounter a bug where the slugs were floating mid-air, making it impossible to clear the wave. Likely due to blocking 10 slugs in on go.

Would also have liked a bit more variety in enemy behavior.

Need some battle music other then that really fun

Whisker Warrior is an impressive game that stands out for its creativity and well-executed design. Its unique gameplay and charming art make it a memorable experience

Graphics are incredible! Completely ignored the block mechanic to begin with, but the fact that blocking stuns enemies is super helpful and adds a bit more depth to the combat. I did find it a little tricky to judge the whether enemies were within range or not, but that might just be a bit of a skill issue on my part.

A simple adventure with plucky writing. I like how the environment sells the scale of the small mouse hero. Learning to use the environmental hazard was my favorite part.

The fighting is really fun and unique! The graphics are nice and the mouse is ver cute! Good job!

Like the dynamic. It's hard to fight with the blues I have to keep my shield up all the time. I also found a bug where if you push snails over the edge of the map with your shield, the level becomes impassable. Nice job anyway!

The models look amazing. The overall idea was cool, gameplay was fun but felt a bit rigid. Some nice music would really tie the game together.

That is some impressive graphics for such a short time

The visuals in Whisker Warrior are super impressive, and the mouse character is absolutely adorable! I had fun with the combat, though it felt a bit stiff at times, especially with enemy range. I encountered a bug where slugs got stuck mid-air, which made it impossible to clear the wave. Adding more variety in enemy behavior would take this game to the next level!

The sound effects were great, especially for hitting the slugs, could use some balancing though as some sounds were a lot louder than others, like the swinging sound for the third sword you get. Some footsteps sounds and music could have helped tie the game together audio-wise, but it can be tough with a small team and such a limited timeframe. As others have mentioned the art is very impressive for three days. I liked the variety of enemies and weapon types that helped keep things feeling fresh. Great work overall!

Great understanding on the topic that was given, really expanded on Tiny Creatures. loved that you used a mouse. and the mouse looks sort of funny. loved the concept, keep it going

Fun game, VERY good graphics including that it was made for short time, gave up on wave where there is 6 spider because couldnt clear it up, overall really good game

Clever game design and implementation for such a short period. You even had some pretty in-depth animations, 3d modeling etc. Good job!

Impressive! Once I understood there was a shield, it became suddenly much more manageable! Didn't manage to make it past the second wave of spiders though... I think there was a slight issue on character animation too? The mouse kept flickering between its idle animation and walking while I was moving. Jumping, attacking and shielding animations worked fine though.

Really great graphics, did you manage to create all of these assets from scratch during the jam? If so, I'm REALLY impressed. Won the game after I understood how important the shield was, as well as jumping on objects to find some shelter from the waves. A bit of music and your game would be flawless. Great job!!

@bork-bork Yep I created all the assets in the 3 days (it was a bit hectic). The mouse had some animations from mixamo, i unfortunately didn't find time to swap them out with some custom made ones. I did end up animating the slug and spider, which I wasn't expecting to do that at the start of the jam. I was also pretty happy with the terrain texture, I'm not really great with hand painting, but just booted up a youtube tutorial and came up with something.
Funny we had time to add music and thought it would be ok without, haha definitely will remember to add it next time.

Actually, it's really fun! The first spider made me go aaaaaa, otherwise I won haha. About problems - a weapon often doesn't hit enemies, you have to change an angle of a blow and often die because of this. I would also really like some combat music!
The art style is nice, I have a weakness for warrior mices, so a plus from me for the main character! The bugs are a little disgusting, you want to hit them, so that's good. And I hate blue ones! The worst!
