Fishing the Depths

nice little fishing game :)

Reading the line "Dad mode LD57 game" and saw a fishing game. Is the game about living or dad mode or does it mean lifesitutation :D

Note to self: do not buy so heavy lure that you cannot drag up. (spend all my first money for sinking speed xD)

I like the things that are there and it somewhat works but is hard. There is a quite a many things but just not fully fleshed out and balanced.

Thank you for your generous starting money, and then earning just couple coins from fish, I was think if this was somekind of allegory? ;)

It's hard with distractions

Impressive game given the time constraints! 10/10 sound effects.

The game was very nicely done for the time spent working on it! Although not much variety in ways of catching the fish, I had fun playing it.

This was astonishingly good for 6½ hours of work. The voice acting was nice, and I like the overall mechanics. Very nice upgrades and would love to see how it could evolve!

I am also a father of three kids (4, 6 and 11) and, oh god, i understand you very good xDD

Amazing job! Just want some goals maybe ^_^

Simple yet fun game! Impressive that you could pull this off with so little time. I liked the little SFX when you throw the line XD I would have preferred the fish to be attracted a little faster to the bait, although maybe that's a personal issue I have with fishing in general XD

Cute little game! Very relaxing to catch some fish. I would prefer some alternative to repeatedly pressing space, something that doesnt require pressing over and over, maybe wiggling the mouse or something, but thats just a small thing, very nice job ^^

The sound effects of this game is amazing, and good job on making this with all of the things going on! It was really simple and easy to pick up and had all of the right UI elements to display what I needed to know. With more polish, these elements could make the next simple fishing game a smash! Honestly, great scoping, too.

One thing to note is that you could probably mess up at the start and invest all into sink speed, which causes it to go all the way down but since you don't have the lure level, none of the fishies bite, so maybe give players a bit less money to start out with so they don't make that mistake.

Very impressive for 6 hours! I struggled to catch the gold fish because I upgraded the "lure jiggle" a bit too much, but that seems like it was a me problem :sweat_smile:

I managed to reel in at least one fish per color. :)
I wish I didn't have to use the mouse to retry (when I'm not buying upgrades), but maybe that's personal. Well done!
