Sea Devil

Inspired by the mysterious sea devil discovered off the coast of Tenerife in February 2025, this game delves into the unique journey we all undertake in life.

Though the story may carry different meanings for each of us, it revolves around one universal theme: we all face countless challenges. Some will try to hinder our progress, while others will wish us well. Ultimately, it is only when we reach our destination that we can truly determine if the journey was worth it.

PLEASE NOTE: This game is a work in progress. We acknowledge that it's not yet polished. One of the key elements still missing is the variety of sea creatures our protagonist encounters. For now, these creatures have been symbolically replaced with light.

actually insanely good graphics in such a short amount of time, hats off for that! I liked it, bit of a meditative experience. a minor comment is that the audio is a little low, but maybe intentional. nice submission :) :fish:

Very cute, I love it! The storytelling through light spots and the concept of ascending from the depths instead of going deeper is really interesting. The art is amazing. Nice work!

Very pleasant feelings at the end of this little story of a fish in a dark world. There is no gameplay, but obviously that was not the main thing. Thanks for the work

The anglerfish art and general art was fantastic. I like the reverse depth connection to the theme

The fish felt unresponsive for a few seconds after scene transition for me.

That was a cute little entry, and I found out what was that Tenerife incident too. Some people won't stay still and keep climbing up the highest mountains, no matter how hostile the environment is; maybe a similar instinct played part there, too...?

The art was pretty lovely; my main complaint is that the blue text would be pretty hard to read on the sea's background, even more so as the fish reaches shallower and shallower levels. ^^'

Agreed that having more creatures in place of lights would be a good addition - clearly, some of the text came from other sea dwellers rather than just the fish itself - but I understand the time constraints. ^^'

Cute poetic game ! The way we move the fish is really satisfying ! It's cute how he does little spins around when we hold the mouse.
