SINK.
An underwater welder is tasked with travelling to the base of a oil rig to perform maintenance, but the way down is treacherous and one misstep could sever The Diver's precious lifeline.
*SINK.* is an underwater 2.5d platformer made in HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS with no libraries and no engine. All the art, for better or worse, was also made by me.
Tech
- Languages: JS, HTML, CSS
- Editor: Visual Studio Code
- Art Programs: Krita, Photopea
Controls
- Click Play to start
- A and D to move left and right
- W and S to move forward and back
- Space Bar to jump
- T to weld an anchor for your tether
*Disclaimer: This is my first Game Jam, and I bit off a bit more than I could chew with the limitations I set for myself. I had plans for sound, a storyline, and of course a proper ending, but they were pushed aside in favor of how much time I had to put into the physics and graphics. Live and learn.*

Nice idea, I like the style and the movement feels pretty smooth:) Never really felt any difficulty though. If you go a bit too left or right there are no obstacles anymore it looks like and you can just freely fall deeper and deeper.
Very cool for your first jam though, keep it up!:)

The art and atmosphere is really great! Love the details with the bubbles. Although I must admit, I did not understand why I can pin the tether. It does not seem to affect my movement or the gameplay?
Sorry to plug my own game, but it seems we kinda had the same idea when it comes to diving and the oxygen tether haha :D
Keep it up, looking forward to your next game!
