Beenball
Hello Everyone, my game for the jam is
__BEENBALL__
A pinball game where you help bees to collect nectar.
- Right/D/CTRL-Right to move the right bat
- Space: Launch the ball
All controls are also displayed in game.
The game was written in Godot, the graphics where created by myself in GIMP.
Since I am not talented in sound and music, I used freely available resources for that.
All external assets are listed ingame.

I used ChatGPT to help me write code and for GDScript-Documentation questions.
As far as I know, none of the other assets where AI-generated.

I like a nice pinball Game. Nice theme, might have benefited from some more advanced interactions. The center of board seems a bit empty. Currently I was just shooting for the Openings at the top. The bounce and the physics was really well done

Nice pinball game! and great choice of music! I think it doesn't loop though, at some point it just stopped, I had to reset to make it come back

Quite fun, the physics are satisfying and the graphics are nice. I wish there was more sound effects when the balls hit stuff on the board, but the music made up for it with its high intensity. Well done!

The music was a bit annoying after a while, but the gameplay is a pretty solid pinballgame. Nice touch to include the bee-theme. :)

When the music drops and the nectar hits hard. Its hard to hit something, but the hive is very fun. Managed 7035 :sunglasses:

Very nice flipper game. Love the art style and I was very happy to hit the multiball a few times. Good job and Kudos for using Godot 👍

Agree with the above posters although I scored much worse ;). Never seen a pinball in a jam before! A few more shenanigans would be nice for a full game.

It's a good implementation, I had a great time! I didn't get past 8600 points (I pressed R by mistake :( )

Didn't expect pinball as entry. Great job! I managed to score 3870. If you continue working on it, please add some mechanic when the ball falls on the side :D

though i got a multi ball, sent 2 into the spider cave at the same time and now the game might be a little stuck. With my score of 4560 i have the highscore!

@electric-sun You are right, that's something I overlooked and that probably confuses the event system (which is something I wrote 1 hour before the end of the jam ;)
I am really happy that you all seem to enjoy the game. From my experience, when you work on it, you also see all the ideas that you could not implement out of time reasons (like more elements, events, graphics on the score screen...). Or a music volume slider :)

As a raw pinball game, it's a good concept. Even if there are a lot of pinball video-games, every board is unique. After "recovering my skills" in pinball, I enjoyed a little. The problem was the side bumpers, they tend to send the ball into the escape ramps (maybe make the entrance a little bit smaller?).

A great pinball foundation, there are secret paths, and I liked the multiball effect. It's missing the kind of visual craziness these games usually have, but the core is very solid. Excellent work!

Haven't been playing a pinball game for a while, great idea - although not really matching the theme. :wink: I think the graphics are quite nice, too bad it is difficult to see all the small details in the upper area. Would be cool to have different camera angles. And also some more targets. But I had quite some fun und it is really cool to see a pinball :smile:

Nice game! But I`m sooo foolish at such types of games. And the music created even a tense atmosphere, ahah)
Scored 2700 wasn't sure if there were combos or anything for higher scores.
The bumpers seem to favour the side escape ramps a lot and you can't stop it.
