General Walk through
Bonkers, The latest, hottest collectibles in the schoolyard. Everyone want to collect and battle with the Bonkers! Flick your Bonkers to knock your enemy's Bonkers out of bounds.
Step 1: Write your name on your brand new notebook, and don't forget to add some sick sticker to it as well! Step 2: Use the vending machine to get Bonkers!
Step 3: You'll then be assigned a other player to fight asynchronously, place your bonkers from your box onto the field. (If you have more than 10 bonkers in your box your might be forced to throw some in the bin) Step 4: fight against your adversary! if you win, great, if you lose you lose a life. you only have 3 lives and when you run out you have to restart!
There's 82 different Bonker types and rarity combinations, your can look at your collection in your notebook! The higher rarity Bonkers are generally more powerful.
Controls
+ Left mouse button to grab end flick Bonkers! only Bonkers that stand can be flicked! + right mouse button to inspect a Bonker stats and abilities!
Note* A last minute bug made the life counter on your notebook not show how many lives your have left :/ we might upload a fixed version if we have time.
Playing this unlocked a childhood memory i didnt know i had. i had so many gogos(?) when i was a kid but one day they got stolen. so happy there's bonkers now! collected 27, and my double rare lama, willy, bun and epic alien combo was insane. 😼 liked the visuals, gameplay was really smooth and fun. well done!
Now counting two online games this jam, last time around didn't even get one so props for that. A simple game that really relies on the graphics and atmosphere, and those are done well. Maybe not my cup of tea, but can't deny the art is good.
Loved the game! The SFX were really satisfying to listen to, and the gameplay was fun. The notecards explaining the game rules by the board were difficult to read, and the health bars around the player and enemy made it hard to tell them apart sometimes when they were all grouped. I loved the art of the game. Overall, the game had great aesthetics and atmosphere.
The UI is really impressive! The overall visual style is great too. With a few more sound effects and a background soundtrack, the game would really shine!
A very cute game that sets the tone, beautiful visuals and funny gameplay. At the start, I didn’t immediately understand why I couldn’t start the battle until I had collected enough bonkers. I liked the tutorial presented as little paper notes with hints. Great game!
