Gatherings is a lovely farm defense game where you must protect the sleeping Ecosphere Gathering and collect all types of essences needed to lift her curse.
Grow elemental beings and combine their essences to craft new seedlings… but beware! As night falls, shadow enemies will try to destroy your farm. Good thing they aren't immune to good ol shotgun. Defend your gatherings and survive until dawn!

Liked it! The plant sprites look great, and I'm impressed with the amount of content you got into the game! The player character doesn't seem to die when they're out of health, but it ain't a jam without some bugs ;)
I played a few times and enjoyed the graphics and large variety of plants with the book thoroughly describing them. I'd love to collect them all that's why I think this game has great potential for further development. Would be interesting to build the garden full of different plants defending the grove against enemies or providing material for building it up.
Nice game! The art is great, the sounds were very nice, and I got a good chuckle out of the night phase the first time I played it.
Some issues with the fixed version: I would love more onboarding, as knowing exactly what to do was pretty tough, and the font was very small so it was tough to read. When I crafted things from the book, I didn't know where to go. Also, having a minimum range on the shotgun means if something gets to close to you, you cannot recover, which hwas rough. But I know time is short on these game jams, and focusing on just having a playable, completable game is priority #1, and you definitely did that!
All that said, I really like the idea of this game, and applaud the ambition! Really solid game loop, had a lot of fun with this one. Good job!

Some issues I wanted to point out: - The font in the book is very very hard to read - Resolution could be a bit bigger - After starting the second game after game over, all the buttons at the bottom become unclickable. I had to restart the whole game to replay
Those are quite minor though, the overall expression is good. Thanks for the game!
UPD: I think you've uploaded the wrong version again, because I did download the updated one and thought "hmm, the size of the updated and the first one are exactly equaly, that's weird".
Very cute! I like the art and the descriptions for each of the gatherlings. Gameplay is pretty fun and intense, but I wish there was a bit more strategy to it, like certain gatherlings slowing down or damaging enemies. Other than that I had a great time!
I like the idea, and the art is cute. The shift in tone from cute farming game to shotgun at nighttime made me laugh when it first happened. It would be nice if some of the plants helped you fight at nighttime, or if planting them next to each other yielded small amounts of the combined essences.
This is a really cute game. I love the gameplay loop, and I think this idea could go far. It was however far to difficult for me to last more the 3 or 4 nights. Dunno if there is a secret strategy or weapon powerups I am missing?
Really nice game! It felt pretty cool to play and its just so funny when she pulls out the shotgun... I especially enjoyed the sounds and graphics, even though the gameplay was really fun too. Overall just a really enjoyable experience that feels pretty polished and all-rounded! Love it!
