You are a famous Collector in Cattown :cat: .The secret of your success is buy the best antique in a very low price and sell them in a very high price to others. :3
Cute aesthetics but for me it wasn't really clear what I was supposed to do. Maybe adding some more detailed instructions would add up to the experience. I wasn't able to get the web version to work but the exe works :)
The downloadable package works fine, but the web version seems to be inaccessible. This idea is quite interesting! It would be even better with more feedback mechanisms.
@santen Thx for letting me know, I failed adding more feedbacks due to the time limitation , but I will do this in the future development! Btw I love the arts and idea of your game!
I'd have loved to play this because cute kitties, but unfortunately the web version while it loads, it doesn't fit on my screen (1366x768)... çwç you might wanna look into UI scaling for Unity. I tried the downloadable versions too but they look very unfinished, nothing like the screenshots on itch. I think you uploaded an early build by accident? If you fix these problems tag me so I can play it!
A bit unclear on how to get more cash... I spend the cash quickly, and then on the first day when I encountered other cats, it just showed 'no money' and then disappeared, which is a bit confusing. The music is pretty good, and the game content could perhaps be a bit longer! After you can quickly get more money.
As people have pointed out, it's not very clear how the selling/buying mechanic works. I figured that certain phrases makes the price go up, and others make it go down, so once you know the rules you can go with it. What thing that was frustrating to me, was that I couldn't select the first option out of the three, but I used the web version, so maybe it's a web bug.
Also your UI layout may be a little bit hard coded, so on my version some things where displayed out of the screen, and most of the text options where too big for the box it was supposed to fit in. (But UI layouting is really a huge pain in the butt...)
Congrats on you first Ludum Dare, and first compo! I hope you'll be able to do many more
The game loop is interesting, but the game is a bit too confusing to really understand what’s going on. It lacks some UX feedback, and there are a few bugs — but it’s a nice attempt overall. And I like the cats ;)
Unfortunately, on fullhd resolution UI has a few issues: some dialog buttons are not clickable and it is hard to open help modal, so I couldn’t get the core loop. However, I adore game's mood and the artworks)
The art is nice and the dialogs are fun! I didn't sell my goods first day and the next there was no buyer, so I didn't earn anything and couldn't buy more, but this is interesting concept!
