You play a butterfly that is caught and preserved by a collector and loses its wings while escaping. As you continue to flee, collect the wings that fell off during your escape to claim them as your own and unlock new abilities.

This is by far the game with the most interesting mood and underlying story elements I have yet played in this jam! I really like how you have to upgrade your body to achieve get more and more options for movement. In that way it feels like an old Rayman game, just dark and somehow cute? :grin:

The art style is super cute and I loved how each "power-up" came with its own challenge (I especially liked the flying). The level design is also good.
Pushing the boxes felt a bit too slow, so I would've really liked it if I could've nudged them further by dashing into them.
Other than that, good job!

Great intro to the game, really charming art and good intuitive level design, the fireboy and watergirl inspiration was nostalgic, but it did feel a bit too much like it.

I never thought i would see, let alone play as, a butterfly that has no wings. So darn sexy before he started getting wings. Amazing entry! The platforming parts weren't super exciting but i can see this game appealing to a more casual playerbase :D

The pressure plate things looked like just another background item, took me a while to see that they actually matter

Interesting gameplay. I couldn't figure out how to get the box out of there. I activated the lights so that it shines through but no way to get the box out of there :(
Also coyote time would've been nice. When you fall down you dont get to double jump. You need to jump first and then you get the second jump.

@rhewid yea there was sadly no time to implement the coyote time. As for the box i gues you jumped onto the platform above the box when the light activated and this made the box bug out. We found that bug like 10 min before deadline and couldn't get it fixed, for some reason the invisible lifting platform is not resetting correctly when you stand ontop of the box when if activates the first time and then it just wont work for some reason.
Also perfect screenshot with the sad face of the char at the bugged box.

Great Art, Audio and overall clean gameplay!
I also really like the generall idea of a wingless butterfly that needs to collect wing pieces to upgrade - really nice concept!

Sadly i got stuck before i could get my fourth wing :

Last level had me scratch my head, but it was worth it. I had to give up on the bonus level though... I have to admit that I ragequited lol

The game is beautiful, and puzzle are clever. I love the dark mood, makes me want to help that poor butterfly.

@thoastbot That one is on us, sry for that we expected the player to see the exit on the left of the start and didnt think about resetting the elevator.
