2022, during a military exercise, your submarine received a mysterious signal from a deep, remote part of the Arctic Ocean. Upon arrival, all your systems shut down and your vessel plunged into a bottomless pit.
Now back online, you must find your way out of a mysterious labyrinth of countless layers down in the abyss.
But as you follow the Call in the endless darkness of the depths, ominous shapes are appearing on your sonar.

Deep Call is a small survival horror game where you play as a sonar technician guiding your submarine through the depths of an abyssal rift in hopes of finding an exit... or the source of the mysterious signal that lured you here.

This is a solo project, initially created in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 59 (Theme: “Signal”), the game was developed using Unreal Engine 5. Following the jam, I spent a few extra days polishing the game by adding more sound design, feedback, and narrative elements. I also refined the main shader and the core mechanics to better reflect the oppressive atmosphere I wanted to convey.
