Synchrony
Synchrony
A forest full of fireflies, each lost in its own rhythm. You are the one who remembers the beat.
Fly to the pulse of the stars — move on beat to glide, stumble off-beat and crawl. Flash your signal near the wild ones and watch them slowly tune in, their chaotic flicker surrendering to order. Some lock to every beat. Some to every second. Some to every third. But when they all align on one golden moment — the whole world lights up together.
Then the bats come.
How to Play
WASD — Fly (your speed depends on the star pulse — watch the ring around you)
Space — Flash (tap on the beat to synchronize nearby fireflies)
Hold Space — Charged flash (wider range)
R — Restart level
Tips
Watch the shrinking ring around your firefly — press Space or move when it's smallest
You don't need to keep flashing — once fireflies are synced, they maintain themselves
Different colored fireflies sync to different rhythms, but they all share the same heartbeat
The golden flash when everyone syncs together? That's your goal

The synchronization mechanic is based on the Kuramoto model — the same math that explains how real fireflies sync in nature.

Beautiful Visuals/Music, I think the beat of the circles/tapping could be more aligned to the vibe. It feels too fast for the style/vibe you went for. All the same it really was a great game. Really well done :)

I loved the concept! I think the beat need more polishing, I'm not a rhythm expert, but I feel it's easy to lose the rhythm. But overall it feel relaxing but not too much, like a good amount of relaxing, good job!

A very healing game, the music is very nice. Come and catch fireflies after a tiring day!
Make two suggestions, the leading can be bigger, it's a little unclear now. And why can't I go through the third level?

really pretty game with engaging play. i also agree that the pulses could be slightly more on beat to the background music.

It’s an interesting idea with nice visuals. The only thing that’s unclear is when the firefly attaches and when it doesn’t. For me, it seemed to happen randomly. Also, the controls aren’t very responsive, which makes it harder to avoid danger. Overall, good work!

I'm not usually a fan of rhythm games, but I really enjoyed this one. The game looks great and it reminds me so much of my childhood when I used to play something similar.

Really nice atmosphere, I ran into some issues with the circle being out of sync with the music but it wasn't that big of a deal. I really liked how the fireflies gathered around you as well. Good job!

Nice calm game. Took me a bit to understand the mechanics, but i managed to finish it. I think it looks very polished visually, but gameplay could benefit from more clear mechanics.
Good job!

It took me a moment to fully grasp the mechanics, but once I got into the rhythm, it felt great! The visuals are so chill and the music creates such a pleasant mood. Really digging the overall vibe you’ve created here.

Really cool rhythm game. I love the concept of being a firefly and using the timed flashes to "signal" other fireflies. Really clever concept and well executed.

I don't really understand the game. I can't get through level 6 even though I have gathered all the fireflies and I'm hitting perfect small circles while dodging bats.

Nice. It reminds me of Crypt of the NecroDancer.

This game feels special, very beautiful. Game design wise I believe the bats and their attack area preview are very important addition for the final feel.
not sure how the bugs worked, wasn't sure if just you or you and the other bugs had to avoid it
if this gets turned into a bigger game, i think the background music should be more "to the beat" of the movement
Very good though for what little time it was made in
