WJDD-FM After Dark

The overnight DJ walked out on Monday. You're the intern. Now five nights belong to you — midnight to 6 AM, a turntable, a cart slot, a phone bank, and a dial.

Keep the station on the air. Keep the callers on the line. See who's still listening by Friday.

What you do

- Spin records - click a record on the rack to put it on the air. Dead air costs you with the FCC.
- Fire Doug's ads - Doug pays for a spot at 1 AM, 3 AM, and 5 AM. The cart is cued all night; press it on the hour.
- Answer the phones - a line lights up when a caller rings. Click it. Pick a response. Hang up if you have to.
- Tune the dial - WJDD sits at 1430 AM. There's another station 10 kHz over. Something bleeds through if you're listening at the right moment.
- Mind the transmitter - if it's off when the EBS test fires, that's a violation. Leave it on.

Controls

- Mouse - everything. Click records, calls, buttons.
- Dial knob - drag to turn, or scroll-wheel to step (hold Shift for coarse).
- Esc/M - pause. Settings and volume live there (and on the title screen).

What each shift really costs

Every call is a choice. Engage, deflect, or brush them off. The game remembers. Five nights, five callers, one week.

*A Ludum Dare 59 entry. Headphones recommended.*

Note: music audio is from Ovani, however all voices are me, so only rate that part of audio.

Other Note: I made all assets for this aside from the aforementioned Ovani music, but I did use Claude Code to assist with some of the coding. Not all of it, but enough that I feel I should mention it.

Other Other Note: I like you.
