Ludum Dare #60compo
A Little Piece of You
Hi everyone! This is my third Ludum Dare, but my first time entering the Compo.
As someone born in the 2000s, I didn’t experience much of the old-tech era. As far back as I can remember, I was already playing games on a desktop computer. The idea for this game actually came from the “art projects” I made with my poor mom’s office copier when I was in elementary school—including putting my hands on the glass and photocopying them.
That led to this little game about making collages with an old glass-bed copier. You can share your creations with other people and receive drawings they’ve sent through their fax machines. I like the idea of everyone’s pictures meeting through a fax machine inside a game.
How to Play
Explore: Use the arrows to move around the office and click objects to collect them.
Create: Drag objects onto the copier glass and press START. Draw on the finished print, then save it in your FOLDER.
Receive: At Fax B, select a letter. Find its note in the office, enter the four-digit code, and take the picture. You can draw on it, too.
Share: At Fax A, load a saved picture from your folder. Enter the number shown on Fax B, choose a four-digit code, and press START.
Use your mouse for everything. Number keys, Tab, Backspace, and Enter also work on the fax machines.

I spend so much time clicking around, sending faxes, making pictures with the photocopier.
I found out that you can actually move objects while the copier is copying, so you can use it as a real copier and make weird streaks and stretch things or compress them.
Really amazing in 48 hours, nicely done, very nicely done.
Lore might be a bit easier to read if you keep full sentences on one page though.
Small issue: can't see my paw in some of the ui (e.g. trash this work pop up window)
*↑ A blush for Alice :P
A very simple idea, executed exceptionally well!
The graphics are simple yet very beautiful. The music is well-crafted and relaxing.
It was fun making photocopies of things—I’ve actually done that myself a few times! I’ve never worked with a fax machine, though—only photocopiers and printers.
It’s wonderful to see people incorporating personal experiences into their games; players can really sense that extra layer of meaning.
I had a bit of trouble sending the fax until I realized I needed to use the code for "Fax B."
I wonder—will someone, somewhere, actually receive the fax I sent?
I think this concept is phenomenal.
Congratulations, and thank you so much!
