Amiga 12000

3 million years into the future, an anachronistic Amiga-branded starship is lost in space with a failing memory. Help it return home by piecing together its route from the fragments it can recall.

Note that there is an issue with the final level in the jam version of the game. There is a post-jam release on itch.io that fixes this. If you're playing the jam version for the first time, here is a hint to avoid frustration:

!> There are two systems that match all the clues. Udriu-128 is not the correct one.

Apologies to anybody who was confused by this, and thanks to @jcourt for prompting me to look at it again. I think a couple of people suggested that there was something wrong previously, but I didn't pay attention 😢

It was pretty fun doing the puzzles! I loved the atmosphere and amiga-themed spaceship thing. Audio design is on-point:)

The message when you lose the game is kinda sad..

This project is truly captivating. Everything about it is good, but not perfect. You can tell the game was made with love for the aesthetics of old games, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, but that’s not a downside — it’s a huge plus, and for that we can praise the developers. You’re awesome, keep it up, and I believe you’ll succeed.

Really cool idea with having to rule out system based on the clues you get. The graphcis are really nice - I especially like the moving cloud patterns on the planets. The atmosphere was really strong as well. The only thing I can criticize is that the game puts you back to the start when you get a guess wrong. I was at the 4th system and made a wrong guess, which was quite frustrating. Other than that amazing work!

@shlolo Oh that's a good note alright, especially for a jam game. It was frustrating enough going through the dialogue over and over to test things during development! Thanks for the feedback.

Wow, this is cool! A very well put together logic puzzle. Simple and short, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. The planets are absolutely _beautiful_ - what was your process to build them?

@justinmullin Thanks! I didn't hand-craft the planets, they are the output of a 2D shader. Each one just takes a set of palettes and to tweak a few options (clouds or not, and sun direction being the main ones) to get all of the ones you see here, including the big background ones and the ones on the nav screen.

The Amiga feeling was well reconstructed... I can also see they added a third led for the warp drive 😄
Great work with those planets!

Took a few tries but I think I made it to the 4th system. Really cool deduction game with exquisite presentation to match

I'm not sure if I really have any qualms tbh. Part of me feels like the instructions got a tiny bit vague as the game went on, but that may have just been a skill issue from my side. Especially since this sort of game isn't one that I usually play

None the less, it was definitely damn interesting to play through. Seeing the art for each solar systems was definitely it's own reward. Great stuff here overall

Great entry! Loved the art style and the planets.
Couldn't find the planet and got lost in the middle of the space :(
One thing regarding the music: when arriving to the next destination there's a bit of overlap between the travelling music and the normal one.

@the-fazzo Thanks, glad you liked it!

The normal music never stops, the travel music is just layered on top of it and is just an extra instrument. Did it not sound good? I wasn't sure if there was something special I had to do to get them to sync up.
The_Fazzo21 Oct 2026, 17:08
Oh I see... it felt more like crossfading between two tracks instead of layering an instrument. But with this info will give it a new try and see!
