You enter an “Antre” and find yourself trapped there. You need to find a way out. Although, there might be some entities that reeeeeeaaally like you and just can’t let you go. It’s all about love—not that they want to hunt you down or anything lol (you can hide tho idk)
Process
While brainstorming the theme “Old Tech,” we thought that oldest tech genre on browser games have point-and-click mechanics, and we aimed to design a game that combines old-tech devices with puzzle-solving.
*Designer hint:* If you stuck with some letters, maybe you can think about the roman numerals 🤗
We hope you enjoy playing!😃😃
Sneak peek! "Antre" involves a little halloween theme as well!!
Awesome atmosphere! Fitting with the season too :^) I really wish the sounds reset when you did play again so I wouldn't have to hear the full ghost catching sound.
I'm horrible at these kinds of puzzle games, and it wasn't immediately clear how the light/hiding intro worked. Part of my problem is that the font is extremely hard to read, not sure if I've just forgotten all of my cursive by now or what.
It would be nice to have a "hint" system for idiots like me, but I did what I could and solved a few, which was satisfying.
Liked the premise, but struggled with some of the puzzles, could have used a little better signposting/information in-game to avoid getting stuck. Definitely felt the old tech vibe though, a nostalgic game that felt like something from the early flash era.
I managed to get one half of the typewriter puzzle, but couldn't figure out the rest. All-in-all, pretty good, and actually rather creepy. I can see this being expanded into a larger horror game, assuming the puzzles are sign-posted a bit more.
The combination of the Old Tech vibe and the eerie premise of being trapped in the Antre is really clever. It creates a wonderfully unsettling atmosphere that fits the themes perfectly. Great job making something so atmospheric!
The sound was really effective in this one. I also liked the art style. The puzzles were good. I didn't manage to complete it because I couldn't seem to type the code into the typewriter. Aside from that, the main issue that I had was that the font was extremely difficult to read. Other than that though, it was a great game. Good work!
Awesome atmosphere, and the mix between puzzle solving and hiding is a really cool concept in my oppinion! Sadly, I didn't get very far with the puzzles, but this might just be because I don't really play this type of games usually. Only real complaint I have is that the font is a bit unreadable, took me a second to figure out what to do in the beginning because I didn't realize that the scribble next to "Grab" is supposed to be an E lol
