Bunker-88

co-authored: @magi-chan, @s3b-45t1-4n

A very short puzzle game in about escaping from an old bunker. You and your friend went to explore and old abandoned bunker. Your friend decided to pull a prank and locked you inside. Figure out how to escape and make your way outside.
This is our first game jam, we hope you enjoy playing the game!

I didn't expect to be converting decimal to binary and graphing trig functions but the puzzles were fun. Though I do wish the area outside the puzzles was more used. It feels like just a sequence of puzzles. Though the visuals inside the puzzles themselves are really nice, the audio is great, and the explanation for why your there is cool too. :)

An abandoned bunker is a nice setting for this theme, and being locked in by a friend's prank gives the escape-room premise a funny personal twist. Definitely a friendship to reconsider once you get out! Congratulations on your first game jam.

Dude the graphics in the puzzles were amazing. The puzzles were also very creative. The 2 graphics styles was an interesting clash, my only real complaint is that I wish it was longer!

It was super fun solving the puzzles! As someone else said, it would be nice to be able to explore the bunker aside from the puzzles. I like the atmosphere in both the puzzle and walking sections. I also like how despite the fact that 3D and pixel art look so different, the 3D sections do not feel out of place here.

Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! Really nice game for a first entry! The visuals and music set the right mood and fit the old bunker really well. The puzzles were interesting - I like puzzles where you have to figure out what you’re supposed to do through trial and error and by observing how things behave. I wish there were more of them, but for a game jam, the length is ideal. Jam games shouldn’t be too long :) It would be nice if some of the puzzles had clues hidden around the room to make more use of the bunker environment. Maybe you could even let players go back and search the whole bunker. But I know it’s a game jam, and there isn’t always enough time to do everything we want, so no worries! Great job, guys!

for a first game jam this is a really solid little escape room, the abandoned bunker setting and the friend's prank give it a fun personal hook. the decimal to binary and trig puzzles are a nice bit of old tech flavor, and it's cool that you went for real math instead of just hidden keys. the outside area could maybe use a bit more love, but honestly this is a strong first entry. what was the hardest puzzle to design? keep at it.

A great start! The game is pretty simple, but surprisingly addictive. The amplitude puzzle feels a bit overdone, but I really enjoyed the binary code and Morse code puzzles. I'd love to see more of those!

@perrarancino Personally code wise i suffered most with the third one, figuring out the timing to actually instantly switch and also i just decided to rewrite almost the whole thing half way because it was designed badly first XD
