COMMIE-nication

Comrade!
It's time to decrypt secret Morse messages, punch some holes, and forward the messages to the proper department. So get your keypuncher ready and try to get that sweet promotion! What, how? Tsk...

Stick to your instruction manual! You guess, you digress, is what they say, right? And don't forget, you have the whole working week to prove yourself! Prove your worth, comrade.
About the Game
COMMIE-nication is a "Papers, Please"-inspired game in which you take on the role of a Communications Officer in the fictitious nation of East-West Slavia. Your job is to make sure that all messages and letters arrive safe and sound, and more importantly, on time.
Our people value their privacy, and we are proud to say that our encryption system is one of the best worldwide. This is good for the customers but bad for you. You have to work extra hard to get all the necessary information you need to correctly process the transmissions.
Your typical day looks as follows: decipher Morse code, send dispatch instructions via punch card, call the right department for them to accept the transmission, and repeat.
At the end of each day, you will get paid based on your performance, and at the end of each working week, your performance will be strictly evaluated.
Team
Hello guys, this is our first Ludum Dare entry, where we participate as the small indie studio Dot Damage Games. We are very happy with what we managed to create during these 3 days and hope you like the result as much as we do. ^^
WORK! WORK! WORK!
Each workday takes about 4 minutes and can be started by pressing the digital clock on the table. We highly recommend reading the instruction manual before you start your first shift. ;)
And if you get stressed... well, you will find out, I guess.
Enjoy, and let us know how you liked it!

@arfenalis Thank you happy to read!
We’d really appreciate it if you could test out our game too when you have a minute! Keep up the great work!
@mika-l Can I ask you what gave you trouble exactly? Was the instruction book not helpful or readable? Thank you in advance for the feedback!! It helps us greatly for future games!
@eugenik so happy to read! That’s exactly what we aimed for! Your main goal is to use this manual to understand your tasks and get quicker and better with each round, just like in a real corporate setting! Cheers!
@katastudios the rounds are short and crisp 4 minutes long. If you finish all 5 days you actually get a letter with your performance and the message if you’re allowed to stay ☺️. Don’t get discouraged the game is build to get faster and quicker from round to round
@ralex-x thank you for that feedback! We’ll try to indicate such things better for the next game jam! I can only agree now in retrospective that we should have highlighted them somehow! Ty for playing ❤️
