Corner the Market

People love it when that DVD screensaver hits the corner of a screen. But is that enough to help your video rental business survive in the age of streaming?

Corner the Market is an incremental game about DVD logos bouncing around on screens.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!

I was sad that Netflix took over.

The vibe is amazing, the actual gameplay is fun and silly, and I love the movie names. DROVE MORE.

I managed to get to about 25k before Netflix won, but that's okay. Lots of nice little touches too, like highlighting the matching DVD to make a sequel. Thank you for this game.

I did have one issue where sometimes the dvds I picked up seemed to change identity when I placed them? Or else some other mechanic was happening that I wasn't aware of.

Anyway great work I love it

Nice concept and theme, and a cool merge idle combination.
But way more excited when I saw the gif, gameplay is a bit disappointing.

Too much for me. Tix and money information is hard to get.
Purchasing screen could be more understandable or interactable.

But decent art and music for sure.

a little to "nothing for me to do". yeah, i loved to watch dvd trying to hit the corner while i was a kid, but in a form of an idle game where i can do pretty much nothing - idk.

Art and music is good though. They create a cozy rainy 2003 vibe i think

I have definitely never seen anything like this before. 😄
Super original idea. There are three things you can watch forever: fire burning, water flowing, and the DVD logo bouncing back and forth. ❤️

I hate netflix, just let me watch number go up in peace. I personally believe in wall build supremacy. Awesome game, I sank like half an hour into this and _will_ be coming back.

I did notice the dvds sometimes got "stuck" in a horizontal/vertical pattern. They would bounce back and forth basically with very little change in direction. Maybe increase the random offset for the bounce? Also, it took me a hot minute to realize i can plug dvds into the slots. Maybe make that more obvious?

Other than these, fantastic job. You get 5 big booms.

I think I have an unbeatable build, gonna leave the tab open and see how high it goes. Really peak game though, only criticism is that eventually the ticket button is wrong about when you get your next ticket.

EDIT: A million! why no tier 4 :(

This is righteous another one im bookmarking to play in my downtime again later!

Want for velocity should definitely go in the middle TVs. THe music is such a vibe omg. THe feelings, that liminal nostalgia, that feeling of walking in a quiet city in the rain on a november evening. It's all there. So smooth. BBI 18,144 on this session.

The game looks absolutely gorgeous, and the music and sound effects are incredibly relaxing. Honestly, it was such a cozy experience after a long day at work! It's also one of the most interesting and unique incremental idle games I've played in a while. Really refreshing to see something so innovative in the genre!!

This is such a perfectly nostalgic concept, blending the comforting chaos of those old screensavers with the satisfying push of an incremental game. It's really clever how you tied the struggle of the rental store into such a silly, fun mechanic. Great job on this!

Fun incremental game. Love the old tech inspiration here for the dvd screensaver. Well executed!
