Rent is due in five days and you have $200 and a car trunk with room for 12 squares. Flipper is a short game about reselling vintage tech: Game Boys, typewriters, rotary phones, CRT televisions and floppy disks.
How a day works
Market (60 seconds): a seller lays out a new table of old electronics. Drag items into your trunk to buy them, or Shift-click to buy one fast. Nobody can tell you what's wrong with an item: many are marked Untested, and some of those are dead. Items come in Common, Uncommon and Rare. Rare ones are worth four times as much. Garage (no clock): you have 3 tests a day. Click an Untested item to find out whether it works. Unused tests are lost. Sell (45 seconds): drag items onto the buyer's counter, or Shift-click them, to sell. Sales are final. The buyer pays full value for items tested and working, scrap for items tested and dead, and half value for anything you didn't test, working or not. That price is then multiplied by the day's mood: Slow ×0.8, Normal ×1 or Hot ×1.25. The mood is shown on screen all day. The goal: have at least $450 in cash after day 5. Items left in your trunk don't count.
The trouble: the trunk is a small grid, and a CRT television takes the whole thing. Do you buy one big item, or a few small ones and hope they work?
Controls
Left mouse: pick up, drop, and test in the Garage Right mouse or R: rotate the held item Shift-click: move an item straight across Esc: put the held item back On-screen button: end the current phase early
The best I can do is leaving a comment ! This pawn shop simulator is rough, really really rough. No sound, no images, juste pure debug squares and the default unreal scene in background. This thing said, the game itself work. Maybe you should empty the vendor table when you arrive at your garage to make the situation clearer but otherwise, everything is clear.
