Use small blocks to build a machine that translates one word into another.
Controls
- Left click - select block - Right click - delete block - Q, E, or Mouse wheel - rotate block - 1 to 7 - block placement buttons - Tab - pause
Tools used
- Godot 4.8 beta - Python - Wordnet - Aseprite - BFXR - Surge XT - Waveform (free) - Claude (free) - used for making dev tools and as a search tool, NOT for making content
2026-10-25: - Fixed the crash reported by koolruz - Added an option to use Q, E for rotation
It froze on me after getting level three wrong, so good thing there was a level select.
Interesting concept, though most of the puzzles seemed to come down to the same sort of belt-wrangling to get your letters into a Combinator in the right order. It felt weirdly wrong to just let letters sit on the ground and have it be a valid solution, I guess I'm used to games like this having a continuous stream of inputs.
Solid jam experience! Simple, intuitive, and very well put together. Left full ratings across all categories! We’d really appreciate it if you could test out our game too when you have a minute! Keep up the great work!
Well... I played this game for a whooping 45 minutes, I really got into this puzzle!
Modules 1-5 (Conveyor, Splitter, Combinator, Redirector and Repeater) work in every situation, every combination of letters, making them universal. Didn't understand why you get the Repeater module to transform "DREAM" to "DEAR", I completed the level without using it... maybe the official solution was using the Repeater somewhere
Modules 6 and 7 (Negator and Morpher) are mostly subjective, since they heavily depend on what words you defined. Personally, I'd create Adder and Subtracter (Adder : from 'A' to 'B', from 'Z' to 'A' (so it's circular), from "OLD" to "PME"; vice-versa for Subtracter).
No comments on graphics, for audio I'd like to have a sound for deleting a module, and for help the description are great!
I had a good time pushing my patience and English vocabulary. 😂 Great game!
@planetary Thanks for playing! There are no official solutions, every solution that works is correct and skipping some modules is fine.
As for Adder and Subtractor modules, when I was starting out, I wanted to implement them, but then I decided to take the game into a little bit more experimental and weirder direction and combine pure logic with some uncertainty.
Of all the programming games I’ve played today, this is by far the best one. and it’s not just the game design itself, every other aspect feels really well polished as well 👍
This was SO COOL! Extremely creative, very well executed. Some of the puzzles really got me thinking, and even taking notes, which was very fun. I have very little to complain about, really only one (slightly spoilery) annoyance:
!> It was often unclear what synonyms/antonyms would actually pop out, and I didn't always appreciate having to build a whole layout just to test a synonym that turned out not to work the way I thought. That said, for almost all of the puzzles here, when I found a solution it clearly felt like the "right" one. The only exception was SAME->FEEL. For that puzzle I turned SAME into IDENTICAL and DIFFERENT and had a complicated dissection of those words to grab the letters I needed. I'm assuming there's a more elegant solution I missed. Still, this was the biggest engineering challenge I faced, so it was still a fun time trying to get that solution to fit on the grid properly!
All in all, I'm extremely impressed, and I spent way more time on this one than I usually would during the jam, just because I wanted to experience all the content. Well done.
@justinmullin Thanks for playing and for your kind words! Yes, I went a bit too far with SAME -> FEEL, I wanted to test the limits of this game's system. 😁 You can either dissect 2 words or build a really long synonym -> antonym chain. But you're right that neither feels very elegant.
To be honest, this game doesn't have the best puzzles with elegant solutions, I was figuring out what works and what doesn't while making the game.
I think I managed to break the game here on web. It was not responding anymore after a simulation run and pressing right mouse button somewhere. Screenshot 2026-10-20 202308.png But it's a very neat little game! Great ideas and puzzles. Nice little sound effects
An inventive and smart spin on the Zachtronics-like genre! The game I played the longest from the jam so far :) Coming up with the rough solution and implementing it with the area constraint are both really rewarding. I only miss some QOL features (time manipulation to make it easier to track the motion of letters, undo, multi-selecting and moving blocks).
I really, really liked this one! It's a little rough around the edges, but once you get used to the controls and how the machines work, it's very satisfying to get a solution working! I appreciated the ability to select levels given that the game froze a couple times, and that some of them I struggled to find a solution in a reasonable amount of time.
Might have just been me being dense, but a lot of my solutions relied on timing to get things working, and I couldn't help but feel like a delay belt would've been handy, given the limited space. Some of the puzzles seemed punishingly difficult to complete, but perhaps I just missed a simpler solution.
@codingoat Thanks for playing! Yeah, I agree that more QOL features would be great, hopefully in the next jam I'll put more thought to it.
@danwhiffing Thank you! Yeah it's a miracle that the game even works! 😅 I was struggling to come up with puzzles that required more than just 1 or 2 modules and didn't require filling the entire board with modules. 😁 I agree that delayed belts or conditional gates would have helped.
Cool puzzle! Building conveyor machines that carry letters to the goal is really satisfying, and the splitter in level 2 adds a smart twist to the word puzzles. The pixel art is clean and readable too. Well done!
Nice puzzles, I enjoyed it. Kept getting freezes which was a little annoying. As others mentioned a delay would have been very nice, instead of having to add more distance.

Very cool game nonetheless:)
