Memory
He Will Find Me

A little electronic toy beeps awake in the middle of a junkyard. It's pretty sure it just got lost. Misha will come looking. He always does.
You see everything through the toy's eyes. Its tiny screen-face sits in the corner of yours, next to a battery that runs down as you play. Scan the junk for anything that still has a spark left in it, then get it working again: thread a filmstrip through a projector, dial a rotary phone, set an alarm clock, tune a radio, guess an old computer's password. Every machine you bring back gives you a memory of the kid who used to carry you everywhere.

Get a puzzle wrong and you lose charge. Lose all of it and the screen goes dark, and you start the chapter again. Some of the clues are hidden in the junk, so look around.

The memories go in order, and the later ones get harder to explain away.
