We love some good *deterior architecture*. I mean... *interior*.
I love the story telling you put together just from descriptions of rooms people want to live in. That takes some skilled writing to pull off, and you nailed it.
The way all the various objects begin to decay over time is really cool, and I like how they don't all decay at the same rate. Some objects are more rotten than others as time passes, which is a great touch. I'm awarding you the Interior design used to be my passion back when we lived above ground award:
And for extra feedback, here's my video playthrough:
This entry was very vibey. I spent a while decorating at first and then when I realized it was also kind of this take on a post-apocalyptic scenario I liked it even more. The atmosphere was awesome!
The rating system was also very interesting. And the fact things deteriorate over time was the icing on the cake. Very awesome!
auuh that was excellent. Started really nice and cosy, set the tone and then gradually twisted it. Loved the ending, there was a surprising amount of atmopshere and narrative in such a contained game space. Really loved this, great work. Top marks from me.
I wish there were a bit more items to customize the room, or a bit more to the gameplay with evolving needs as the user(s) grow older, but given the number of variations you had to make for each asset, I can get it :D
The visuals work so well to represent the decaying of everything, but I especially loved the background music getting worse and worse with each level.
I really loved the contrast between the high-tech promise of the NewHouse™ and the gradual reality of decay. It makes the passage of time feel incredibly tangible, even in a contained space. Very creative concept!
